We have been giving this to my infant who had been suffering from cold and cough during every season change. This is a great immunity booster and keeps cold / cough / sinus problems at bay. Let's study the ingredients in detail: 1. Maharasnadi Kwath -> Has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antioxidant properties. 2. Guduchi -> Boosts immunity and reduces fever. 3. Manjistha -> Blood purifying herb. 4. Amalaki (Amla) -> Natural anti-oxidant supports healthy metabolism and digestion. 5. Shigru (Moringa) -> Boosts immunity 6. Yashtimadhu -> Treats respiratory problems. 7. Shankh bhasma -> Provides natural calcium and vitamin C for the development and maintenance of healthy bones, teeth and cell membrane. Dosage: Children depending upon age but for age 1 - 2 year you can give 3ml twice a day. Adults 2 teaspoons thrice daily This is a quality product at real value price. Himalaya Septilin By just giving these 2 items to your infant, all his nutrional needs plus immunity is taken care of. A real handy item to keep in your medicine box! Further, this is kind of a monopolistic item of Himalaya. I haven't found any product of Baidyanath, Dabur etc which are similar to Septilin. So HATS OFF to Himalaya! TIP: Do not expect any magic. Previously I thought this tonic was to be given only during cold and cough. Actually you should start giving this ideally from May end itself as maximum infants fall sick in July / August when weather changes due to monsoon. This gives 2 - 3 months for Septilin to work and build up the immunity in your infant. Cons: The product contains parabens namely Methyl paraben, Propyl paraben, Sodium methylparaben, Sodium propylparaben. But these are in very low quantity and therefore, is completely safe.
