Carlinkit MINI SE Wireless CarPlay Adapter - USB-A & USB-C Dual Ports | Plug & Play | iPhone Compatible

This device fulfills its purpose effectively and operates flawlessly. The device is the size of an old fashioned USB stick and will stick out about 3” or so, so make sure it won’t be in the way in your car. To our surprise this device establishes a more reliable connection between our smartphones compared to the USB cable. We own a 2022 Toyota RAV4, and for some reason, the car frequently failed to recognize our phones when connected via the USB cable (we tried multiple cables). However, with this device, the phones and car find each other & connect every time. We have four phones paired with it, and if multiple phones are present in the car simultaneously, the most recently connected phone reconnects. If we decide not to use a particular phone, there is a minor adjustment required to ensure the device reconnects to the intended phone, but it has not posed a significant issue for us.

It works better than expected. I plugged it in, my phone found it and connected. Made it so much easier for CarPlay because I don’t have to plug in my phone. Totally worth it.

Arrived today. Plug and play install went well. Once connected and displayed it failed on 2019 Tahoe, LT. Will retry install and possibly write another review, but this is where we stand now no response from seller, just sent to Amazon for communication.

Does not work with Android. Should have been clear about that in the description

I’ve been using this for the last year, it’s always done what it’s supposed to. It let me break free from the cables. Overall it works perfect and the sound quality is great.

This little dongle is a great way to add wireless CarPlay to a vehicle that has wired CarPlay. Set up is easy, and now I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket to use the CarPlay features in my car. There is no noticeable lag in phone conversations, and music streams wonderfully.

Drops connection often between IPhone and car system. When it reconnects, and it does, there is no audio even though it shows media is playing on CarPlay. Then only way to reset audio is to disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect. When it works it’s good. But this issue is a real problem unfortunately.

The best Carplay wireless adapter I've found. Small, connects fast, pretty good audio quality. Has a major bug where on phone calls, after a few minutes, it'll disconnect for a second and send the call back to the phone earpiece until it reconnects. This happens so often that I've taken to just using my airpods for calls or a USB cable if I know it's going to be a longer call. There is a firmware update feature but no update has been published to fix this and there is no way to report this bug to the company. Unfortunately, even with this major bug, it's better than all the other Carplay adapters that take 5 minutes to connect or only connect half the time.

I was really excited to try this new dongle as it was the best option for my car; for its size and since it was newest model less issues. The installation was straight forward and with its simple setup, everything was working great for the 2 days. I was really happy with the response rate and how easily it intergrated to my Rav4 Carplay perfectly. Two days later the dongle would not connect to my carplay, I tried unplugging it and re-sync but it would just connect and disconnect from the Wifi. I removed the BT and Wifi profile and tried to set it up again but still got the no Wifi. I was very disappointed that I had to return it, as the Carlinkit brand usually get very high Amazon praise. ****Update: The seller was genuinely disappointed on the dongle failure that they offered a replacement. The new unit arrived in a coupled day and it paired effortlessly to my 2020 RAV4 and I was able to update to the current software easily. Ive been using the dongle without any issues for almost a week and really enjoying the CarPlay feature wirelessly. It take a few second to pair up with my Iphone13 but after that I have phone free access. I can now enjoy my Spotify service and do any changes with the maps without having to take my eyes off the road. A truely excellent customer service. Update Nov 28 Did another software update and the response time is even quicker. After the head unit all loads up the dongle instantly connects. I am really enjoying this Carlinkit dongle amd would highly recommend it for its easy of use. We are entering the colder weather and hoping that it will work in -20 degree weather. Will update again when that time arrives.

Funciona genial y rápido. Se conecta al USB del coche y directamente se conecta al iPhone. Las primeras dos o tres primeras se corta un poco, pero luego funciona estupendamente y no se corta nada. Es como tener el iPhone en la pantalla del coche.
