Amazing! Really extracts the flavor out of the coffee beans 🫘
I’m very impressed with this high extraction portafilter basket. It really extracts the flavor from my coffee beans compared to the oem basket that comes with my espresso machine and it tastes amazing! It feels high quality and it was nice that it comes with a puck screen too. I love all normcore products if only they could sponsor me and my coffee gear addiction haha 🤣 the one downside to this basket is that it’s a snug fit and it’s very hard to take out of my portafilter compared to the oem one. Although it’s not a problem for me as I can use an another basket to pop it out.

Great basket
Normcore never fails to great extractions and great flavor. It took several adjustments to get this right and you can always make minor adjustments to tweak the flavor. The included paper filters work great at keeping the basket holes clear in between shots. Universal fit works with all of my portafilters which is great.

Good quality and price. Higher extractions than stock baskets.
Nice quality high expectation basket. Delivers tasty espresso shots. Basket is a little thicker than stock baskets and might rub a little when locking in or removing the portafilter from the group head. You’ll need to grind a little finer to slow down the extraction. The main complaint is that coffee grounds get stuck to the baskets rectangular holes and take some time to remove. Not great if you’re making multiple back to back shots and need to clean the basket. Still happy with the purchase. Good quality reasonable priced.

Great flavors, must have!
This definitely brings your espresso game to the next level, absolutely no reason to have one of these! One thing to note, is that it's a bit more difficult to clean and get all of the coffee grounds out, but it's honestly not that big of a deal, just spend an extra 30 seconds or so to get it all out, a million percent worth it.

love it but not good for back to back shots
im able to get some nice espresso shots with this basket on my casabrew 5418 with my 1zpresso j ultra. i do make a weird shot though (80ml water, 17.5g grounds, ~35s brew) but i like it. its actually not too hard to clean if youre not doing back to back shots. basically wash it then let it dry first (!! very important). once dry, you can use one of those photography dust blowers to blow the remaining grounds out the holes. works every time for me. i got a second basket for back to back shots tho as the water holds onto the grounds when the basket isnt fully dry. seems high quality and fits my portafilter nicely. if anyone is interested this is what i do: 17.5g grinded at 1.3.3 on the j ultra preheat portafilter with an mhw bomber screen and normcore paper screens (paper once just to absorb oils and coffee and prevent it all from coming back up to the group head) press 2-cup on the 5418. i believe thats ~80ml by default

High quality, bad performance.
First of all, the basket doesn't fit in machine nicely. I'm not sure what factor is causing this, possibly the lip of the basket being too high. In order to have it fit snug in the group head, I have to give it an extra tug that would have me a little concerned if I had to do every day just to get the portafiler in. The basket is a well constructed and high quality piece of equipment, but it lacks the hole size and overall flow rate that other precision baskets do. My first issue with the basket is that the holes are too large and cause a significantly high flow rate. Even though the holes are very precise, I had to majorly overcorrect my grind size a lot finer in able to achieve the same flow rate than that of the stock basket that came with my machine (Rocket Appartamento). Due to the overcorrection, the flow of espresso still came in very runny and under-extracted, lacking the fully body and balanced taste that a well extracted shot has. I compared the basket along with the stock basket as well as the Weber Workshops 20g Unibasket. Overall, its a well constructed piece of gear, the holes just need to be smaller to get anywhere in the ballpark of balanced extraction achievable from other high-end baskets. If you're in the market for high extraction basket that is going to be remotely "cheap," go for a Weber. I have a great respect for Normcore and have several of their products, but this one was a miss for me.

Pleasantly surprised
I have been pulling shots of espresso for about 3 months, so I am a noob. I’m using an E61 heat exchanger and have had mixed results mostly because of lack of control of the water temp. Anyhow, I tried MULTIPLE IMS baskets including the Big Bang and found that the stock baskets that came with my machine prevented channeling and pulled better shots (less sour, silkier, consistent). I frustratingly kept returning IMS baskets and then I noticed that Normcore had a line of filter baskets and they piqued my interest. The only Normcore basket available on Amazon is 22g, I usually like to use 18-20g baskets but I have no regrets with this larger one. Their baskets come with paper filters as well as a puck screen - I have not used any of these items before but am excited to experiment. The grounds do tend to get stuck in the holes after each use but they are easy to clean out with some water and a brush, I’m sure using the filter paper prevents this. The shots are silky, I have pulled several shots with little to no channeling. Additionally, my normcore funnel actually attaches to the basket unlike my experience with IMS baskets where the magnets would not grab. Very impressed so far, will likely be purchasing more baskets from Normcore as they become available on Amazon and will try filter paper and puck screens next.

Le filtre fonctionne bien mais impossible de le mettre dans le porte filtre gaggia classic evo pro et très difficile à enlever sir d'autres portes filtres. Probablement adapté aux produits Normcore.

Good quality it does really improve the extraction I use it with the normcore 54mm bottomless portafilter it looks really nice, the only thing that I can say that is little downside is that when cleaning it after making a coffee not all coffee bits come out from the holes/groves but not a big deal properly because of the type of coffee beans. But I recommend this product a bit expensive but wroth it for the high quality.
