Hosmart UltraSpeak Intercoms Wireless for Home Two-Way Real-time Intercom

Wasn't expecting much for the price, but these turned out to be a pretty nice set of intercoms. Voices are clear, and the quality of the units is good. Each unit comes with it's own cord and power block, so I am very happy with that. We have a large house, so I ordered a set of 4, but you can get 2, 4, or 6 units and assign each one a station. Set-up was as easy as plugging each unit in and assigning each one a number by pressing that number on the keypad. Okay, I've read some poor reviews that I would like to address now. 1. These ARE Dual VOX. The trick is to assign each unit a number by pressing and holding a different number for each unit. When you talk, press the number of the unit you want to talk through, and then wait for someone to pick up. For example, if you are at station #1 and want to speak to someone at station #2, press the button with the "2" on it, and then wait for someone to press the "talk" button. You can then talk easily without pushing the talk button. 2. Voices are clear when speaking, but keep in mind that these are VOX units, and there is a slight delay when speaking, so wait a second before responding. 3. The "MONITORED" feature is NOT for having a conversation. Watch the video in the Amazon description for more information about other functions of these intercoms.

I bought these intercoms as my elderly parents had just moved into a larger house. My dad has limited mobility, and my mom was worried about being too far away from him in the house. We just set these up last week, and they are exactly what we needed in this situation. Using the intercoms is as simple as could be - you just hit the group call button, it rings the rest of the intercoms, and then from any of the other intercoms you can answer the call and start a conversation. It's clear when a call is active, and also really simple to end a call. My measure is really whether my elderly mom can learn how to do it, and she absolutely did. The intercoms also allow for a bit more complex functionality, like setting them on different channels and allowing 1:1 calls between intercoms. We don't need that for our use case, so I don't know how easy it is to set up. But for what we needed, these were perfect - easy to set up and learn, reliable, and the audio came through very clearly.

The instructions could be better, they were pretty contradictory on some items, but overall these do what they say they do and we've had no problems with them. It's also very nice having flexible deployment options with them, and operation modes to choose from. They are also the best looking in their price range, in my opinion.

We live in a very densely populated part of SD. We need an intercom sys. because my wife is not mobile, and needs to be driven in wheelchair from room to room, so she calls to let me know she's ready to move. So we use the monitoring function exclusively. So, of the 6 bands or channels, we can really only use channel 4, as the rest of the them seem to be taken by others/ interference from fire dept/police/ others with baby monitors, etc. Bottom line is because of all this activity, we can't get a good consistent signal even from room to room. Also, when we do make a good monitoring connection, it often beeps then cuts out after just a few minutes. Seemingly for no reason. However occasionally, depending on the time of day or night, it does work nicely for hours. It's just very spotty. So these maybe just the thing for you, unless you happen to live in a very dense neighborhood. In fact they have fully Refunded my purchase! So it is worth trying these out. So I am changing my review to 5 stars since there was no down side risk to trying these out.

Didn’t work. It was like a walkie talkie like intercom. But you couldn’t hear each other at all. Even pressing the talk button. No one could hear. Just didn’t work at all. Bought a different intercom ( that was less money too!) and that one worked! It didn’t have to press down each time to talk like these ones do. Would not recommend these ones at all. They felt so cheap and crappy coming out of the box too. We bought Sanzuco intercoms on Amazon. 4 pack white ones. They work fantastic! They came out of the box feeling expensive not cheap. They were packaged so nice. Not like these ones. Just don’t buy these.

Ordered these a few months ago, and they've been working well. I placed three of them upstairs and one downstairs. So glad I no longer need to scale the stairs just to wake someone up. These intercoms are well made and have a sleek appearance. The two-way communication is easy to set up and very easy to use. Do remember to press the end button at the end of the communication. Otherwise, users could listen in on each other.

My home is four floors, and we (especially me) are never near our phones, so we needed something to connect with the other person around the house. Setup was easy and straight forward.You will have no problems there, and since it plugs in via USB, no batteries needed. Problem started occurring with quality and volume. Unless you were on top of it talking, the other person could not hear you. Range between them is about 3 stories and a basement and they could all connect with each other.

Works well, so simple to set up. liked it so much that I purchased another two more. Delivery was on time, perhaps a day early. Great service, great product.

I use a four unit system across two floors for my house. All four units get connected but voice quality is acceptable at best. It is useful but can’t say it’s ideal in a big house

Most of the time, I just want to quickly say something to another room, but having to switch to another channel by holding a button to change it is slow and inconvenient, and then I have to switch back to my own channel (same hold button). To quickly speak with someone we have “talk,” and it's great BUT everybody can hear what you said. Making an actual call is just ridiculous—you might as well use a mobile phone—while your devices should work like walkie-talkies, letting you quickly pass information to someone (and get a reply just as fast).
