Super game for all ages...

Seeing all the negative reviews, I hadn't even considered buying this game, which BTW is in the BGG Top 100 list. For this reason I had saved it in my wish list, which I keep checking now and then just to see if there is any great deal. And what a deal I got!!! This game is usually listed at close to or a little over 2K. When I saw that this was on sale for Rs. 595 and that too from Cloudtail, I bought it immediately. It was delivered the very next day. Although it was from Cloudtail, I was still a bit apprehensive until I ripped off the cover. It was the genuine game, no doubts about that as I had seen several videos before hand of the unboxing of this game. Checking the components of the box I could see that I received the exact same ones, including the hourglass. For those of you who are hesitant to buy this game, just check and make sure the seller is Cloudtail. I am sure you will not regret it. You might even get a good deal as well. I do not usually give 5 stars, but in this case, since this is a genuine board game and because I got it at an absolute steal, I thought this definitely warrants a 5 star rating. And because of all the tension I had of receiving a bad copy of the game and finally saw that it is the absolute original, I feel like I have to give it an additional star :)

Adults and kid friendly game.

This product is almost legit! I say almost because all the components inside are high quality, but the packaging inside the box was not. I've seen unboxings of this game and it is not the same. This one I got is from Cloudtail, so I can only speak for this seller's product. Nothing was damaged though. The individual decks of cards and cardboard cutouts are of perfect quality and are individually wrapped, but there is no padding in the box and everything is loose and moves around. But I had no damage to any of my components luckily enough. I'm guessing these bunch of boxes were rejects or possibly even made in India, but the quality of everything is exactly what you want. And for 1/4th the price of the OG it's a steal.

Beware- this is a cheap copy of the game! Box was falling apart and not glued at corners. Had stains inside box, card pack was opened and is poor quality. It can be used but quality is not good for the high price paid!

Great game for a group. You can play in teams of two or more. The better your team's wavelength matches, the better you'll do. The aim of the game is to say a word or a phrase that can apply to multiple words on a board. but the word should apply to your words, not your opponents. Very clever game.

Very good party game. Only drawback is that it needs people who are comfortable with connecting words. Difficult to make people play if they are uncomfortable with English. It has replay value. The best part are the post-game discussions were we argue what could have been better clues and have a good laugh about clues that were funny or misleading or roundabout. Can lead to creating good memories when playing with friends :-)

Very interesting game

It’s an excellent game and very creative but there are som difficulties in explaining some rules to people. How do you, for example, since you are playing on the same team, not give away the answer when someone is guessing out loud without making the actual “guess”

We've had Codenames for a while now, and it's become one of our absolute favorite games to playespecially during weekend family dinners or when friends come over. It’s fun, clever, and always leads to lots of laughs (and some friendly competition)! The graphics are great—clean, bold, and easy to read. The overall design makes the game feel polished and modern without being over-the-top. The card quality is impressive too. They're not flimsy or too thin, which is something I really appreciate since we play it often. They’ve held up well over time. What we love most is how the game brings everyone together. Whether it’s just four of us or a bigger group, it’s always a hit. It’s a perfect balance of thinking and guessing, and it never gets boring since the words change every time.
