I recently bought panasonic radio and due to poor quality reception, also huge cost but waste of money. After that now I purchased this XHDATA 220D is really super reception and quality of audio and manufacture is first class. Price is cheap and best. Please go through XHDATA without any hesitation. Already using a pricey Tecsun and Xhdata D901. Staying 50 kms. away from Kolkata in a town filled with multi storey buildings, these two don't pull FM stations. Have to use a 8feet wire connected with the stick antenna to get good reception inside home. Wanted a mw,sw,FM 3band pocket radio with AA batteries for a long time. Wasn't available across any brands till now So skeptically went for the D220. And I was astounded. Out of the box performance of FM was same as my other bigger radios. But received quite a few centres in SW. Medium wave was at par with my other radios. Used the same wire for FM. All centres came crystal clear, bettering my other radios. Even short wave became very talkative. DSP chip at its best. At 1000rupees, this is my best radio purchase ever. I can now put it in my pocket for my tours and travels. Will be using eneloop batteries soon. Just ordered. Very SATISFIED.

I bought this small radio because of my childhood fascination with analog radios. Coming to this radio , it's really a compact radio which can be carried easily in pant pockets n it runs on 2 AA cells, no inbuilt rechargeable batteries for this model that is first let down with this radio, cuz nowadays we are mostly dealing with gadgets that comes with rechargeable batteries. It has 2 rotary switches, one for tuning and one for on-off n volume control, there is also one slider switch for band selection. A small retractable antenna for FM and one inbuilt antenna for SW and MW. On FM reception front it works smoothly on FM band 2 compared to FM band 1. As I live in a multi-storied building, inbuilt antenna falls short on reception front, I added a 7.5 m wire to support the FM bands n then I see more stations that inbuilt antenna can't catch. I did managed to tune few stations on MW but no stations on SW band soo far, maybe I need to check the timming for SW broadcast. Overall the built quality is acceptable for the price tag , cuz there are hardly any triband radios easily avilable in this segment and at this price bracket. Its little tricky to tune in FM stations without external antenna in my locality due to the density of buildings around my flat. I don't intend to go on building terrace n open grounds just to listen radio so I will be using my DIY antenna cuz that really creates a lot of difference! Rest it seems okay. Update: it has great reception on SW also , the inbuilt antenna cannot catch anything clearly,you need a wiire antenna and the radio rocks!

The Xdata fm radio was really working good in the start with expectantly signal reception of all fm channels in Chennai. Unfortunately it stopped working in 2 months of usage as it was not picking the radio waves. Later found the issue was on the battery. Once battery is replaced, it started working fine.

Small size but loud sound, malayalam stations available nice product.

Product look is very good also working nicely battery lasts very long But product is very delicate finally very good for the cost thankyou Amazon
