Amazing quality as expected from Astro
The Astro Tools 783105 10.5" Long Flex Head Nano Socket Ratchet Wrench has quickly become one of my most-used tools. The combination of the extra-long handle and flex head design makes it incredibly effective when working in tight engine compartments, under dashboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. The nano socket compatibility keeps the profile extremely compact, allowing access to fasteners that would be difficult or impossible to reach with a standard ratchet and socket setup. The flex head moves smoothly and holds its position well, making it easy to find the perfect angle for the job. Build quality is outstanding. The ratchet feels solid in hand, the mechanism operates smoothly with minimal back drag, and the long handle provides excellent leverage when breaking loose stubborn fasteners. Despite its slim design, it feels durable and built for professional use. I've used it on several automotive repair projects, and it has saved both time and frustration. It's one of those specialty tools that quickly proves its value after the first use. If you're a mechanic or serious DIYer who frequently works in confined spaces, this ratchet is absolutely worth adding to your toolbox. Astro continues to impress with innovative, high-quality tools, and this one is no exception.

Great Compact 17mm Nano Ratchet—Mod-Friendly and High Quality
I already owned the 18.5" extra‑long Astro nano ratchet and was impressed with its quality, so when the 10.5" version went on sale for under $30, I grabbed it. Right out of the box, I ended up modifying it by swapping the stock Astro flex head for a Matco reversible flex head from a dual‑drive repair kit. That upgrade eliminates the need to flip the ratchet to change direction—something I prefer for tight‑space work. That said, the ratchet works perfectly fine in stock form with its 100‑tooth flex‑head mechanism, and most people won’t feel the need to modify anything. At this point, my 17 mm nano wrench setup includes: 10.5" Astro (modified) — 72‑tooth reversible Matco head 10.5" CROM — 120‑tooth 18.5" Astro — 100‑tooth, plus an extra head from the mod Together, these give me a great range of options for working with 17 mm nano sockets, whether I need reach, compact size, or a finer tooth count. Overall, the Astro 10.5" nano ratchet is a high‑quality tool—solid feel, smooth action, and excellent compatibility with nano sockets. Whether you run it stock or customize it like I did, it’s a fantastic addition to any automotive or tight‑space toolkit.

Favorite Ratchet
For me it was perfect size, and its really well made. I love it, it cant be used in every scenario. For a DIY it will probably handle 95% of your needs. For a shop tech, you still need a regular ratchet but it makes life way easier. Saves you time and frustration because its so versatile. Excellent add to the tool box. For what get at this price point, its a steal. 100% winner

Really nice quality and fantastic with the nano sockets
These are great and paired with the Astro-esque nano sockets it's really a great thing to have in your toolbox. The head is quite stiff (good thing) but easily moved into an angled position, ratchet pawls feel crisp and plenty strong enough, and the inner wire clip holds the sockets just great. Good quality item from Astro as are most of their offerings. Price seems to swing all over the place on here (as does availability) but grab one when it's at a good/fair price. I think the 3/8" sockets/handle are where it's at. With the 1/2" versions you're not losing quite as much height so other standard options might be just fine (and those need a 22mm which is necessarily a whole lot bulkier and longer). As gathered from Astro on forums, if you ever lose the wire clip they'll send you a free spare or replace the whole thing for you, just reach out to them...good company.

Solid ratchet!
This ratchet with the nano sockets creates a super low profile tool. It has minimal backlash, the flex head is stiff but unfortunately not lockable. It feels decent in hand, it has a solid weight to it. If you own the nano socket set I'd highly recommend this ratchet. In the photo I have attached shows the profile difference with a regular 3/8 ratchet with a 7mm socket vs the Astro Tools ratchet with its Nano 7mm socket.

This one’s staying in my box permanently.
Just got the Astro Tools 78345 Long Flex Head Ratchet Wrench for 1/4" Nano Sockets and it’s a fantastic tool! The extra-long handle gives excellent leverage in tight spots, while the smooth flex head lets me get into crazy angles where regular ratchets won’t fit. It works perfectly with the nano sockets, has a nice quick-release, and feels super solid with zero slop. Already used it on a few under-dash and engine bay jobs — huge time saver. Quality build as expected from Astro. I wish it had a reverse switch.

Compact, strong, and incredibly useful in tight spaces!
This Astro Pneumatic 10.5" flex head nano ratchet is a fantastic addition to my tool kit. The size is perfect—it’s long enough to give good leverage but still compact enough to fit into tight, hard-to-reach areas where a standard ratchet just won’t work. The flex head is a game changer, letting me adjust the angle easily and work around obstacles without struggling. The ratcheting action is smooth and precise, with a solid feel that gives you confidence while using it. I was also impressed with the build quality. It feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy at all, and holds up well under pressure. Despite its slim profile, it delivers excellent performance for its size. This tool has already saved me time on a few jobs, especially in cramped engine bays and tight spaces. It’s one of those tools you don’t realize you need until you have it! Highly recommend for anyone who wants a reliable, compact ratchet that doesn’t sacrifice strength or versatility.

Terrible
Feels very cheap, ratchet binds up and skips teeth. Absolutely horrible. So disappointed in Astro I expected much better. Buy Crom or Gearwrench instead.
