Brilliant headphones. Bit expensive @ 7k.
I got them a week back. So they are still not burned properly. But they still sound incredible. They are crystal clear and are suitable for almost any genre. The mids are spot on and the highs are also very clear. The bass is tight but not like typical bassy earphones. So bass heads should not buy.

Awesome sound! But are they worth for a college student?
I am a college student and have been using JBL Tempos on ear as well as inear. I later upgraded to the Sony MDR-XB70AP in earphones. They had really satisfied me with bass as well as high end detail. But then i thought to upgrade to an even better pair so after scrounging the net and e- commerce website and reading innumerable reviews i went for these Shure SE215. They are really awesome pair of earphones with fun sound. Bass is present as well as treble. The over ear design is a bit fiddly to put at first but you get used to it. My frank opinion is that as far as sound quality is concerned the sony and these shures are at par. I may be a little biased as my sony have got about 1.5 years of burnin whereas my shures are hardly a week old. But i will be updating my review but till then am really enjoying these earphones. Recommended?..... Ammm... Let me say, if you are a college student and on a very tight budget then i will highly recommend the sony which are sold at about 3000 on amazon. But if you want some famed company's earphones, then Shure are the right ones. Quality is good for the price plus removable cable which is a real boon. I'am a bit disappointed as the price is way to high for earphones. I could have bought a decent smartphone from my 6 months of saving. But i am a audiophile so went for these. Also realised famed companies are selling their products expensive which are provided for at almost half price by indigeneous companies like sony. Therefore these are my first and last expensive earphones and would not spend such hard savings on earphones. Thats all folks !

Amazing buy for the price
These headphones are totally worth the price. Sound clarity is excellent, sound isolation is amazing- even in airplane you can hear movies and songs at a very low volume.

Not for music(only for voice monitoring and casual listening)
Pro This is designed for voice monitoring, so sound is mid forward. But quality of mid is full and pleasing to ears. This is best suited for singers in the music band. Very smooth sound. But this may be muddy for others with BA HEADPHONES. Very comfortable design, but difficult to wear. Very good isolation. Very sturdy built. Cons No extension of sound towards low and high. Musical ear phones are V type sound signature but this is reverse half V type. So that if you want to hear treble and bass extensions then this is not for your type. Sound stage is ok but placement of instruments is worst. It is as if singers and instrument players are sitting on one chair and that to at front of stage. Sony is the best in soundstage and they give 3d type sound.Currently using xb90ex. Can be used at low volume only because at higher volume the singer starts shouting at you as this is mid forward. Don't go for any entry level monitoring headphones as they are always good in mid. Only the flagships will covers all range. This is the trik they use to make people buy. This is more like a 2d sound. This is for people who are only interested in voice and meaning of the song. If you want to hear the music in its full glory go for Sony or sennheiser or audio technica. Their entry level headphones also give you full range sound. But as you give more money only quality of sound increase. Ie80, ie60 or xb90ex or monentum in ear etc makes you immerse in music. For soundstage and instrument placement Sony xb90ex is the best. I think only Sony has that technology to tune headphone to give 3d like soundstage with instruments placement in different distance. I hope this review tell for what se215 headphone is for and who should buy and who should avoid.

I will go through this quickly because I want to talk about something important right after. The sound is great as expected of Shure. Sounds out of its price range and comparable to my B&O H6 which cost hundreds more. So if you're looking for "bang for buck", you have definitely found it. The bass is quite present but thankfully only when it needs to be. It's relatively tight and does not intrude on the other frequencies making for a fun listening experience. It's deep and the sub-bass on tracks like 'No Church in the Wild' (by Kanye and Jay-Z) makes sure you get the most out of each song. It is by no means a "Bass-head" earphone, but it definitely satisfies the job when it needs to push that extra 'oomph'. The mids are present and male voices are clean. It is front and center, just the way I like it. Listening to tracks like La La Land's wonderfully recorded 'A Lovely Night' really brings out the spirit of the musical. (although Ryan cannot sing very well. Sorry Mr Gosling.) Jump over to orchestral/soundtracks and then you really hear what I mean by front and center. The string section is just so satisfying and the brass really come alive. Put on something like Cynthia Harrel's 'Snake Eater' and wait for the "You're so supreme" line to come on followed by the orchestra's response. It is thrilling! The treble is extended and clear. It's not harsh like on other IEM's I've tried (I'm looking at you Etymotic) but they sparkle when they need to. Put on Eagle's Hotel California, a masterfully recorded track, and hear the guitar at the beginning. It's a pleasure to behold! I very much enjoyed the 'smoothed out' treble as it led to an easy listening experience. I put them in during study hours and found myself surprised at plowing through four hours of listening without fatigue! Just wonderful. Soundstage is not particularly wide (Sennheiser HD800s have ruined me in all honesty) but it is enough to give you a sense of what the artist intended whether that be a live track or a studio version, you really get a satisfying sense of space that lacks in this price range. Not massive space but big enough to be satisfying. Instrument separation is done well enough to individually track each instrument, surprisingly in more 'crowded' tracks like Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' which thankfully doesn't sound too complicated as some headphones would lead you to believe. It's clean and clear and under control! (thanks Neutrogena) The build on the IEM's themselves are great and now we get to the part I wanted to talk about the most: The Build Quality. I've had these for 2-3 years and it's still going strong. I've long since burned them in for a complete listening experience and I have become accustomed to their sound. But here's where I warn everyone. Despite the build quality being fantastic for the IEM's themselves, the cable is sorely lacking. I'm surprised they have lasted this long and still push on, but the cable quality is quite poor in comparison. (to the rest) So from a longtime Shure customer, take my advice and buy a replacement cable right away to ensure your listening experience. Invest in an 8 core MMXC copper cable and you will not regret it. Why do I say this? My cable's metal wire support ripped through the part that wraps around your ear and it constantly pokes me. It becomes painful if you move constantly, but thankfully I always use these when I sit down and relax. Tl;dr: Amazing IEMs for the price but cable is lacking in quality. Highly recommend for anyone who values their music!
