C214 Cardioid Condenser XLR Microphones (Grey)

Got this 2 days back and now its one of my most favourite microphones I own and trust me when I say this, I have quite some microphones in my mic locker. The sound aignature is nice, tasty, delicious sounding, the colouration is pleasant, has a little bit of sibilance issue but with some de-essing it can work just fine. This thing works well for voiceovers, if however you’re looking at it for podcasting, sound wise its a 10, but price wise you can do well with microphones that cost less than this thing, for singing, narration, etc this is a beast and now the price has even gone down from what I bought it at so if you’re thinking to buy something like the Lewitt 440, save some more and get this guy instead, you won’t regret it! I am totally in love with this microphone for sure!

this budget mic is really2 great for the mic collections.. adds a nice warmth on the highs, it gives a nice coloration especially on vocals.. compared to the neumann (expensive mic) you wont hear much difference on a blind test, the high end naturally sounds like a little saturated on it even without any pre or post processing, if you are a microphone collector this is one that you must go with.. also for an overall mic its really great cause you can use them on much everything in the studio or home recording, vocals, instrument, voice-over etc.

This quality of microphone in this price point is reallllllyyyyy amazinggg And it's low or high cut filters are reallyy very impressive✌️✌️✌️ and also the versatility of mic 👌👌👌👌👌

Good one for the price ...a little sharp..good for female vocals

The sound quality is way too good and Cristal clear, first I thought of buying RØDE but after reviewing and comparing with other condenser microphones— I’m telling you...in this price range— this is the best ever. Just go for it. Love the AKG headphone as well.

This is one of the best mics there is in the market. The versatility of recording almost every instrument with it is just amazing! The packaging is no doubt the best. I'd suggest you people to go with this if you're buying your first large diaphragm condenser microphone.

O microfone é um autentico c214. Porem a entrega foi ruim, não veio com a caixa, sem qualquer proteção, só a maleta, a caixa veio amassada, claramente sofreu uma queda.

J'en ai écouté/testé pas mal. Celui-ci a une signature plutôt flatteuse (basses, aigus) qui le rend immédiatement super agréable. Il est fini à l'allemande, donc plutôt bien. Il paraît tout droit sorti des années 50 tant sa fabrication inspire confiance. Je viens d'un Yeti USB avec lequel je m'enregistrais (guitare, voix). Autant dire un truc franchement pas terrible. Le Yeti, en Cardioide, chopait les pets de mon voisin, le moustique dans la pièce d'à côté, etc. Un enfer. Du vrai cardioide est justement fait pour limiter sa captation à une zone précise. En plus le son n'était pas top. L'AKG est d'une précision diabolique sur de la guitare sèche, la voix. ET, surtout, reste en vrai cardioide. Il prend le son dans une zone confortable mais pas à 50 mètres non plus. Contrairement à ce que j'aurais cru il est infiniment plus exploitable qu'un Yeti dans le sens où il sera super précis dans son environnement proche mais n'ira pas détecter le craquement de plancher de la maison d'à côté. Son atténuation à 160 kHz est géniale pour ma guitare (une Gibson SJ 200 TV, très fournie en graves). Après avoir hésité longuement avec un Shure SM7B, plusieurs essais m'ont convaincu que ce C214 me convenait mieux, que son interprétation était plus dans mes goûts. D'autant que ma carte son alimente en 48V alors que le Shure aurait demandé un ampli. Je ne regrette absolument pas. Pour le prix c'est réellement un affaire. C'est une vraie valeur sûre, issue d'une version hyper connue et reconnue. À ce prix je ne vois pas trop comment trouver mieux.
