Good quality only neon lamp is missing

Not easy to read. That's the biggest problem with this. Can't be used if lighting is low / poor as you won't be able to make out the display clearly. Otherwise, is accurate for voltage. Not useful in detecting breaks when you are using on a 2-core wire. And having the Importers Sticker on the English instructions just complicates matters. It's flimsy as a Screwdrivers. It's only good for measuring voltages if you work in a multi-voltage environment Overall, best you don't buy this.

Poor Quality, Poor Performance- it does a good job at testing a break point but the voltage values that show are absurd displays 110v where it should show 12v ?? shows voltages range even in the indirect inductance test , whereas its only supposed to show a symbol The "current symbol " can pop up with or without contact to the button . Both the buttons don't press, just jammed not sure if its supposed to be that way , I guess not Overall the voltage calculator is as abrud as it can get and you can never ever rely on it Should be used to check only the continuity or breaks The screwdriver looks too weak to be effective . The reviewers that are pointing out that the LCD isnt clear at all especially in low light conditions are 100% correct . The power symbol is also very small to sight . So also the build quality is not upto the mark . My verdict : who created this tool , its such a Joke . Good value for money, its a must have product for householder as well as professionals.

This works quite well (but only if you take the trouble reading the instruction sheet before using it). This is not a multimeter, and indicates only a rough range for voltages (four ranges between 12 to 400 volts, AC and DC). Thus, as a replacement for a neon-tester, it is superior, although you cannot see the display in the dark (which is OK because you should not be fooling with mains voltages in the dark anyway.) As a non-contact continuity tester, it stands alone: there is no other inexpensive instrument (INR 89, free shipping) which can do this. The build-quality is robust, and (amazingly) the instrument does not need batteries. I recommend this without reservation.

I got this along with the old fashioned tester. I thought I'll atleast get the voltage reading out of this. But nope. This just has like 5 readings and it will show the reading closest to the actual value. Like if you put it in a regular outlet that gets around 220-240v, it will show all the readings that it can show. Who on earth finds that useful idk ! And you have to squint your eyes to see it ! If you're a regular person just wanting to check if the point is getting current or not, then don't buy this. If you're curious to know what's the voltage at thaat point get a multimeter. This is useless in that matter.
