Good quality good price I do miss the 4x4 panels at this price

These are perfect for making dioramas. Found miniatures to fit. And made 1 for Christmas last year, making another.

Excellent panels

Be aware if you need these to be exactly 5 x 5 they aren't. One panel was a tiny bit smaller than 5 inches and one was 5 inches larger, and I ordered 2 of these (so 4 panels in total) and each pack had one of each, so I guess for not being exactly 5 inches they're at least consistent with sizing haha. They are good for the price though, very light and easy work with. I sanded down the panels and stained them myself as well as sealing them with a varnish. If you're not planning on staining them it would still be a good idea to gently sand them down as the sides have tiny little splinters. In my opinion they're not great to turn around for using as open shadow boxes because you can see where the corners are joined on the backside, unless you filled the corners and painted them maybe. One of them I attached a painting I did on watercolor paper and the others I directly painted on the surface. Either one is fine for whatever you choose.

I cannot say enough about how pleased I am at the packaging of these wood panels. Protection around all four corners! I normally order from a huge art supply store and I'm always complaining about their shipping wood panels without proper protection. Will order these Falling in Art wood panels again and will look for more of their products. Will add that the wood panels are smooth, without roughness or even splinters that sometimes have to be sanded. These are great.

To be honest, I actually turned this upside down to use as a platform for a diorama I made, but it is very sturdy yet smooth and lighter weight. As someone who also paint, I recommend this two-pack. Good value.

Right size

Absolutely as described, it’s great! Paintable and I love it! I’m going to paint it white with lavender painted in the center to use it as my new laundry chute, I will attach 4 hinges and a pretty crystal door knob. I can’t wait until my bathroom is completely transformed brand new this week… just what I needed! So if you are a painter you will greatly appreciate this! It is completely smooth finished.
