Perfect Smoothie
These little blenders work great. Don't take up much room, easy to operate and clean, just the right size for one great smoothie! Priced right!

Good value for the price!!!
Good product. This blender came packaged as it should. It arrived on time delivery was great. I used it today and was glad that the blender did a great job blending my smoothie. I used frozen strawberries and bananas. Overall, for the price I would recommend this blender.

SO Close To Ideal
Okay for the price, this blender is just awesome. It doesn't mean that it isn't without it's faults. Let's talk strengths first. Ease of use. There is no button to press to turn it on/off. This confused me a second. You place the mixing cup inside and just push down and the motor will engage...press down and twist and it'll stay on. There is only one speed though. Untwist and it'll stop. It's actually quite simple really. Fewer parts to mess up. Not sure about the strength of the motor though and I'm sorry to not be able to help in this area. I use it exclusively to make my protein shakes at work for breakfast. Just almond milk and powder. Doesn't require a super motor in order to mix those two ingredients...so I wish I could be more specific. Maybe one day I'll try a smoothie. It's easy to clean. As long as you secure the blending portion to the bottom of the cup, that portion of the device won't need regular cleaning in the same way the rest of the device will. Unscrew the bottom with the blades and run it under hot water with some soap and within seconds, it's done. Same with the bottle. VERY simple and easy to deal with. I like that. The lid that comes with the cup is designed for toddlers. The opening is SO damned small, it's almost a joke to use as an adult. You could turn the thing upside down and not much would come out. It would be nice if it included a second lid that had an opening that was twice that size for you know, normal people. Not a fan of the string that is attached to the lid, either. But you can remove it easily which I did. If you like it, you won't have an issue I'm sure. I guess the only thing left to learn is whether or not the product will last me long enough to seriously recommend it long-term to others. As it stands, it's an easy recommendation. But I would add that I haven't had it that long to be able to comment on it's durability, so keep that in mind. One of these days I'll try making that smoothie and I'll have something else to add to my review...until then, I am cautiously optimistic and so far, really like it.

Smooth Operator
UPDATE 2: It's been 5 years now and it's still going strong. Nothing has broken, not even a tab (lug) like I had previously written someone complained about. It was an incredible $19.00 purchase and even at the new price of $26.00 it's still and incredible investment. UPDATE: I've had this for almost 2 years now, using it 3-4 times per week for a breakfast smoothie. I've had no issues with it at all, however I thought I'd try something with more power in case I wanted to make a frozen drink, so I decided to order a Ninja BN301 Nutriblender for $60. Here are the differences: This blender is 300w, the Ninja is 600w This blender makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds, the Ninja makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds. This blender's blades aren't as sharp at the Ninja blade, but the difference in the end product is barely noticeable. This blender has the threads for screwing on the cutter blades and cap on the outside, like a normal jar. The Ninja has the threads on the inside, causing them to get filled with smoothie when removing the cutting blades and attaching the pour or storage cap. Why would they design it that way? The one and only improvement of the Ninja over this blender is the hole size of the pour spout is about three times larger. I'm sending the Ninja BN301 back. I have a big Cuisinart blender which I rarely use because it's too much of a hassle for most of my needs. I was going to purchase the Hamilton Beach personal blender, but with 175 watts, it seemed a bit too light duty. This unit with 300 watts seemed a bit more appropriate. First, let me state that I own the above big blender, a Cuisinart food processor and a Cuisinart immersion blender. I bought the LaReveuse Smoothies Blender just for that purpose, smoothies. Secondly, let me address some comments made by other users: 1. Tab(s) breaking off. The jar has three tabs (lugs) that allow the jar to lock in place on the motor base. I have no idea how you break one of these off. Really, given the stoutness of the material and the location of the lugs, I really can't fathom how you could break one off. Even if you did break one or more tabs off, they sell replacement jars, lids and blades on Amazon. 2. To address the comment of another reviewer, the locking tabs (lugs) not only lock the jar into place, they are part of the "switch" for the motor. The motor base does not have a visible switch. Align the locking tabs (lugs) with the slots on the motor base and push down for momentary on. Ease up on the pressure and the ...motor turns off. If you want the motor to stay on (no more than 1 minute per the manufacturer), simply push down, give the jar a slight clockwise turn and Voila, it stays on. To turn of, simply turn the jar a slight turn counter clockwise. So if you don't want the motor turning on when you plug the unit in place, don't lock the jar on the motor. Pretty simple. 3. Addressing the comment that the jar is too flexible. Really? ...REALLY? No it isn't as firm as a glass jar (won't break like glass either), but it isn't a plastic bag either. It has a SLIGHT flex if you really squeeze it. If you handle it like I think most people will, you won't notice any flex at all. Okay, enough of all that, how well does it work? As said, I bought this to make smoothies. My typical smoothie consists of something like the following: 1 peach (skin on), 1/2 banana, big handful of blueberries, 1 individual serving cup (5.3 oz) of yogurt (plain or some fruit flavored) and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 cup of low-fat milk. Toss all that in, screw on the blade cap, set the jar on the motor base and gently press down. I pulse it a few times (2-3 seconds per pulse, just like you would a full size blender), then I leave it on for about 10-15 seconds. DONE! That's it, and for 20 bucks, how could anyone possibly complain?

Good
Easy to use, no worries about battery because it’s a plug in, about 20 floz size. I use for fruit smoothies and protein shakes.

O.k. for thin shakes/ protein drinks.
Not enough power per my requirements (protein powder, powdered pumpkin seed, ground chia seeds, milk, soft fruit) Wouldn't puree even soft (not frozen) fruits?? Would be a great little blender for just milk & powders but didn't work for me. Hassle free Return.

Surprisingly works really well! Absolutely annihilated the ice I threw in there, small but powerful as hell, would buy again, just in a different colour.

It's been great. I've been making a smoothie at least once a day since I got this. However I wish the cup was bigger. I got to shake it a few times while it's blending to get the stuff on top to reach the blades. I tried looking online for the La Reveuse 24 oz cups but they don't fit this blender model. Still great smoothies though. Just wish Id got a bigger one.

This little one person shake is quick, easy and versatile. The best thing I’ve purchased in a long time that I actually use it’s quick. I make myself a quick little shake and take it with me. The little travel cup is great idea then when you bring it back, you just wash the cup. Love it and the shake turns out just as great as any other big blender.

The lid on the blender/cup broke on first use. The blender/cup is cheap and won't last long. It is very easy to use and blends well and quickly. Cute colour but as soon as this breaks, I will upgrade and buy a better brand. Hopefully I get a few months out of it.

I have owned and used a Magic Bullet, Nutri Bullet and one of those cheesy things from Showcase (don't ever buy one of those!) and this is the best. It works well, the cup is a good size - it holds more than most and it also has a drinking lid and a little carrying loop with it. I really like it and it more than serves the purpose. Good construction and great deal for the price!
