Solid for first/second grade math rotations
I teach first grade and this has been a good puzzle to challenge my more advanced students during center work. It has peeled a little bit but I do have pretty rough students so overall held up well!

Misses objective of building the center number.
The cards 0-10 are great. But once the puzzle pieces start working with greater numbers and concepts like number trees, I don’t think the puzzle reinforces ways to build said number. So for example, the center piece is 10. Then the number tree for this set is 11 is made of 1 and ?, 12 is made of 2 and ?, 10-0=10? 12-10=2? I feel like it would be better if all pieces were about building up to the center piece rather than using the number for the center piece in different equations and number building activities. So for that reason, I’m giving it a 3 because the entire puzzle set does not work on the same skill. I’m on the fence about returning it because of this.
