UB-XL1 Uber Chill 12 Can Retro Personal Mini Fridge (White)

We were looking for a small, stylish fridge for our teenage son's bedroom. This little fridge works great! It doesn't have shelves, which is nice because it can hold all different sized beverages. It can hold a 12-pack of pop or 6 taller drinks like iced tea. It has been so handy, and we all love the look of it! Keeps everything nice and cold!

I LOVE this fridge!!!!! I got this because my husband is going to be having surgery on his foot and be non weight baring on it; so, I wanted something that would be small enough to sit on our end table, yet big enough to actually hold more than just a drink or two. This fridge is totally AWESOME, and perfect! It can hold a variety of things. We have had a complete 12 pack of soda in it, We've also had two sub sandwiches along with some 1 liter bottles of soda. We have found that some 1 liters fit and some don't just based on how the bottle is made. I really love that the door actually latches shut instead of just depending on a magnet, or something of that nature. We have been running this for a week straight without any issues, and you can hardly hear it unless you actually stop and listen for it. We haven't used the heat function on this, or use it in the car yet, but I have complete faith in this company and their products.

Stopped working after about a month and a half. It can switch from cool to off to warm...but if you switch accidentally straight to cool from warm (or vice versa), then it might break, apparently. It says to wait 5 min before switching from hot to cool or cool to hot, but all I did was accidentally switch it from hot to cool...and immediately to off...but that seemed to be enough to break it forever. The next time I plugged it in, it doesn't do anything on hot or cold. It is a $60 box with a built-in switch to accidentally break itself. It is a poor design. One star is too many stars for this waste of my money and time.

Depending on what you need this for, this is a great product that sorta does what it says - though it must be noted that it's really more of an electronic cooler rather than a real mini-fridge. A real fridge runs between 32-40°F. This unit says it only cools up to 32°F BELOW ambient temperature. I use this in an office that averages 75°F everyday according to an indoor thermometer I have. I tested inside the unit after having it plugged in for several hours but the temp capped at 50°F. That's only a -25° difference which is really disappointing. Gotta knock off a star for that. However, I experimented with two ice packs and managed to get the temp down to 42°. I may use this method to store creamer, though it's a pain that I'll have to remember to throw the ice packs in the freezer every other day (and I'll probably have to store the creamer in my office fridge on the weekends). Otherwise, it’s a decent size if you plan to use it for a few items. As you can see in my photos, the internal dimension run roughly 8.25” W x 5.25” D x 9.75” H. This is perfect for my needs. Also, it’s quiet. Sure, you can hear a soft hum from the fan but you can barely notice it. I work in a very quiet office and asked my cube neighbor if she could hear it, and she said she didn't even realize I had plugged something in! One last gripe to mention, according to Uber’s instructions - the unit needs a 1 hour break after it has been working for 48 hours. This is a bit inconvenient for those who plan to run it constantly so keep that in mind. I'll probably unplug it over the weekends.

This "fridge" is really quite neat. I actually didn't realize, when I ordered it, that it can also be a warming unit with the flip of a switch. It will also let you plug into a wall or a car outlet (my husband thought it would be fun to bring it with him to work so he could tell his coworkers that he had a fridge in his car). I do wish that it had a temperature gauge on it somewhere so I could know exactly how cold it was (and maybe the ability to adjust it a little), but I did throw a meat thermometer in there to see how cold it gets. According to my thermometer, it gets as low as 40 degrees inside (and rather quickly too). Just for fun, I switched it to warm to see how high it got, and it got up to 120 degrees. Not too shabby. When it was first delivered, I didn't think the box could be the appliance because it was so light! I think it will be a great addition to our next road trip. No more worrying about ice.

This is actually a good mini-fridge. I use it exclusively in the bedroom for my midnight desire for La Croix Sparkling Water addiction. This is my second one. They keep the cans extremely cold, and the noise level is very low, so there is no disturbance having it in the bedroom... which is a good test for fridge-noise levels. It also looks really cool, and reminds me of the pods in the movie "2001", especially with the oval window. HOWEVER... be aware that like clockwork the motor fires out after nine months, almost to the day. This has happened with both of my units. Luckily I bought one of Amazon's three year protection plans, which comes to about $8.00. Considering the unit cost about $70, that's a good bargain. So basically I'm leasing the use of a good mini-fridge for $8.00 a year. Of course there is the trouble you will have of contacting the protection plan, and getting either a replacement, or usually, a credit on your Amazon account at which point you can re-order it. And who knows, what with the short lifespan of these units who knows how long they will be offered by Amazon, or anyone. I have a feeling Uber, the company that makes this, may not be around much longer. They do not have a good track record for quality or customer service. But in that case, a plan will at least refund your money. That said, again, if you don't mind paying a little more money for a replacement plan, and realize that this unit will fry out on you in about a years time... go for it.

Needed a small fridge for my bedroom, as I have recently moved in with a roommate. I keep a few drinks and coffee creamer in it so I can have my morning Joe or a late night snack without disrupting the whole house. I've had this for 3 months now and I can't believe how much easier it's made my life.

Great little mini fridge for a small room. I keep it in my home office, and my beverages are always cold. Warmer seems to work well too, but I really only use it as a fridge.

Works great. Chills the beer etc fairly quickly. Havent tried the warming feature. Prolly never will. Great deal for the price too.

I liked the product look, and the retro feel of it. BUT it takes way too long to get your item cold. It can easily take 24 hours for your item to just be cold enough. Felt like it could have performed better. Also the door is flimsy and seems like it should be better quality for the price.
