Fun cooking for the family - and the seller was great to work with.
We tried tempering our new salt block for the first time following the instructions exactly, but it cracked shortly after reaching ~300 degrees. This is a 100% natural product, so each one is unique and may have imperfections - i.e. this can happen occasionally. I contacted UMAID customer service the next day and they were awesome. We had a new salt block on our doorstep within a few days, with no further questions asked. And we love the product - everyone in the family has fun around the dinner table when we use it.

Turns Any Meal Into a Gourmet Experience
Honestly, I really liked this salt block. I used it on the grill and it gave the meat a totally different flavor, kind of smoky with a natural salty touch. I also tried it chilled to serve cheese and it looked super fancy on the table. It’s heavy and feels solid, and the steel tray makes it easy to handle. Honestly, I thought it was more of a gimmick at first, but it surprised me… now I pull it out every time I have guests.

Curing process
The metal frame that holds the salt block is painted and when you’re trying to cure the salt block on your stove, it burns the paint off. I’d rather just have bare steel or stainless steel then have this mess after the caring process.

Seems very durable
Bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law the “chef”. He was excited to use it although I don’t know if he has yet. Seemed of very good quality.

The "steel tray" has sharp edges, not safe to use
The salt block looks ok but the "steel tray" is not. The edges of the tray sharp indicates low quality of workmanship. Will try to cook using the salt block later.
