Global 7-piece Ikasu Knife Block Set

This was purchased as a gift for our daughter and son-in-law. They love it. The knife holder takes up little space on the counter and looks nice, and the knives are well balanced and sharp

I have always wanted a Global knife set, finally got around to pulling the trigger on buying a set because of the price. Found out about Global knives from an Anthony Bourdain book. Very sharp, light weight, and great quality. I could tell day one, i will have this set for many years to come. Definitely just buy a good quality knife sharpener and learn to use it correctly and this will be a life long kitchen knife set.

Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves to cook. After using these for the first time he hasn’t used another knife we’ve had ever since. Loves the sharpness, how thin he can slice different vegetables and meats. Allows him to present his creations in the way he sees fit beforehand to execute a visually appealing plate to complement his talents with creating a flavorful, healthy meal! Highly recommend this set!

The knives are amazing. This is the sharpest bread knife I have ever used --- it makes the fine slicing of artisan breads smooth and much safer! Ditto for all the other knives --- carving a turkey, chopping vegetables --- these tools will significantly increase your confidence in the kitchen, and your satisfaction with the results.

I love these new and high quality kitchen knives. I will buy a new wood block that I like better. They seem to be really well built and super sharp.

We are very pleased with the feel and performance of these knives. We especially like the fully integrated handle and blade and the fact that they slice so cleanly. They passed the first test, which is to easily slice through a tomato skin. Using these knives at our son's house prompted us to buy a set.

The world's best knives. I'm convinced. I cook a lot, and I make a lot of vegetable dishes (I'm vegetarian). This assortment has everything I need for every type of vegetable or herb that one can imagine. I'm sure they work incredibly on meat, as well. They are astonishingly sharp (you need to be super focused when using), and the balance between the blades and the handle weight is perfect. I actually will choose to mince garlic now. for example, instead of pressing it, just so that I can use one of these knives. I also love that the handles have no rivets or "seams" for bacteria to lurk in. Utterly amazing.

This set includes an assortment of different sizes of knives. It can be argued that one good Chef's knife is all you need but I find that having a blade the size of the job at hand is far better than having one large knife to force into every role. These knives are nicely balanced and feel good in my hand. They cut effortlessly and seem to be made of very good steel. I bought Global's ceramic honing rod separately and bored a hole in the knife block to hold it. It's great for maintaining a nice straight cutting edge after use. After years of using cheap kitchen knives from big box stores this is a major upgrade. I think they will please you as much as they do me. If Anthony Bourdain recommended them, that says something.

OMG!!!! These are absolutely amazing. I have never used a knife so sharp ( and that goes for all of them). They just glide through whatever you are cutting. I might just have to buy a couple of extra ones eg boning/filleting knife and carving knife to start with although should be able to carve easily with cooks knife. They are weighted very well to feel comfortable when using, fit perfectly into knife block which looks great. Love the clear perspex so you can see exactly which knife you want. Looks good on the bench without being too bulky. Highly recommend.

The best knives you can buy as a home cook IMO. This set has a perfect selection and it’s at a really great price point compared to buying them separately. 10/10

Outstanding knife set. Buy in confidence! I love the feel of the knives. Super sharp, they look great and the price was right. Cut, wash, dry and put them away. I also bought the sharpener and very pleased with that as well.

These knives have changed my life. I love cooking so much and had been making do with average knives for years - these are a joy to cook with. Cut cleanly, great weight/balance, easy to wash, and look great on the bench too.
