This basket makes a hug’h’ difference. I’ve heard plenty about IMS filters making a difference but it’s really true. With the new basket, I don’t have channeling issue I had with a cheaper basket, and the whole process just feels elevated. Im not refined enough to exactly say what changed in the taste, but it noticeably tastes better also. Looking at IMS filters on Amazon, I noticed and was initially worried that my random assortment of tampers, distributors, etc from different companies wouldn’t fit. I don’t have any of these issues with this basket, so you can rest assured on this version. All in all, a very happy buyer, and definitely worth the 20 odd quids that I spent on this.

Nicely made basket, but despite what the internet says, it does not fit the Flair 49 Pro portafilter without modifying it by removing the retaining ring. The basket is then not held securely in place. It also does not accept 51.5mm tampers, which again the internet says is the correct size for it.

Too small for the rated 51 mm, when used with other tools/parts of other brands rated also at 51 mm. For instance, a bit loose in the portafilter, and then the tamper does not fit inside. Managed to use it with a smaller tamper, but the coffee quality was not noticeably better than with the basket I already had, which costed four times less. Not a good value for money.

What a difference this made for my DeLonghi. I've only recently gotten into at home espresso and this fit an aftermarket portafilter great and is exceptionally better in quality. Works well and produces better shots with less channeling than the stock basket. Holes are more precision drilled with more of them. Shots come out sweeter and more consistent. If your basket is leaking, you may need to adjust your grind size. 100% recommend IMS baskets.

Absolutely transformed my De'Longhi EC230BK! Paired with a good handle (check tabs guys) it is miles better than stock.

Before I thought I had to get a 49mm tamper and puck screen. But after purchasing this. My delonghi 51mm tamper and my 51mm norm core puck screen fitted it perfectly. It is a much better build and more holes than the cheap basket I have. This basket is slightly heavier too. I can get great results using a lower budget setup which is nice. The beans are grinded with a baratza encore with a upgraded burr. Also I noticed no more channeling with this basket. Highly recommend for all dedica owners
