Amazing ๐ ๐คฉ
Iโve recently started doing day hiking and needed a light weight bag. So far this pack hasnโt disappointed me. I really like the overall design of this pack. It comfortably to wear, and is roomy enough to fit what I need. It feels of high quality, and I donโt have to worry about a zipper busting. I have also found the side pockets very convenient for small items and snacks I want to easily access. Overall a very versatile day pack for hiking, biking, walking, or wherever your day takes you. Happy with my order.

Sleek and well made!
This review is for Osprey Escapist 20 Backpack, Black, M-L.This backpack is super lightweight. I mean, really lightweight. It's for biking specifically, so it's also really snug and form fitting which is nice. It's also super well made, but it better be for this price tag. It's got those waist straps, but they're the smallest and least bulky ones I've ever used. This backpack comes with a raincover included! That's a big savings, those aren't cheap. So overall, a beautiful bag and my favorite out of the ones I reviewed. It's got lots of outer pockets and ties, but, none inside the bag itself, which is really a shame.

Great lite weight pack with a slick and streamlined design.
This brand secured my loyalty a long time ago. Their products are of top quality and despite the extensive R&D program they have managed to keep their products at a reasonable price. Osprey has amazing customer service and they stand behind their products. I have had an Osprey pack for 20 years and they still continue to service it if needed or supply me with parts if I should need to replace a buckle or something. If a zipper gets buggered or you have threads come loose you can send it in and they will fix it and send it back to you. If you step on a buckle and it snaps and you can easily fix it yourself they will send you what you need. They have a solid commitment to reuse and environmental stewardship. You are not just buying a pack when you get an Osprey but you are subscribing to an idea and gaining that pack for a lifetime. The Escapist follows the standards of quality that I have seen with this brand. The materials are of the highest quality and uses next generation textile technology. This pack is lite weight and is designed for on the go activities. The features on this pack target use for bicycling and hiking with webbing loops for securing carabiners, helmet clips, hydration reservoir compartment, quick release buckles, and breathable material around the belt and back. There are stretch pockets on the belt that will take a 1L nalgene but its pretty tight, I would use something that is a bit smaller that fits better like a 1/2 L, it is more comfortable on the hips and wont stretch out the fabric. The pack material is not waterproof though I think a light and brief drizzle would not soak though to the contents, but if you were caught in a pour there is a built in and stow-able rain fly that tucks into the bottom of the pack. At 20L this pack is a great day pack not to extend over night as well as a carry on. Great for city adventure as well as the wilderness. This is not an expedition weight pack and its not bullet proof but if you take care of it within reason it will last you a lifetime. Solid 5 stars!!

Comfortable
This pack is very comfortable, and I didn't know what I was missing out on till I got this Osprey. Like many people, I don't put a lot of thought into a backpack and look for something affordable. This pack is a bit pricier than what I'd typically spend, but it's well worth the cost. I recently got into bikepacking and started searching out gear for the sport. I don't ride for days at a time, but we're just doing weekends right now around our area. When I saw this pack from Osprey, I decided to give it a try. And I was amazed at the quality and comfort right away. The design of the pack is a lot more ergonomic than any other backpack I've had before. From the padding to the ergonomic design and the way it can be adjusted is just leaps ahead of anything I've ever owned. That being said, since I've never owned a high quality backpack before, people with a lot more experience who are really into hiking and backpacking would probably have a lot more insight than what I can offer. But as someone who is starting out in bikepacking, I'm thrilled with this pack. The compartments are well thought out, as well as the pockets on the waistband. The material feels pretty durable and the zippers are really smooth. For a day pack, this works well for my needs. But I have come to find that any overnight trips, I'll need to upgrade to the 30L. Right now I have to attach my sleeping bag to the exterior, but the interior pocket on the 30L would be nice to have. But this 20L is great for my day trips and I appreciate being able to attach my helmet to the pack when I'm off the bike walking around the farmers market or something.Overall I'm thrilled with this pack. I think it's a good starting point for me as I'm just getting into bikepacking, and after using this awhile I'll be able to make an educated decision when I upgrade to a larger pack. But this one will get used a ton for my day trips, or even an afternoon bike ride. It's just so comfortable and holds a decent amount of essential gear.

Love it
This Osprey Escapist 20 Backpack is a super versatile, high quality pack that is a great size for everyday use but is also lightweight, roomy and has all the features needed for biking and hiking. I love the variety of pockets for organizing and storing all my stuff. The shoulder straps are easy to adjust for a comfortable fit and the back panel design is comfortable and helps keep my back dry when wearing all day or in the heat. And the waterproof rain cover is a great addition and helps keep everything dry. Overall a great product that I wholeheartedly recommend to any outdoor enthusiast.
