Formula changed
I have been using this brand for years, but I have just noticed they have changed their formula.Before their formula was:- Elemental Magnesium (325mg)- Citrate (360mg)- Glycinate (360mg)- Malate (360mg)- Taurate (360mg)- Orotate (360mg)Now it is:- Elemental Magnesium (325mg)- Acetate (280mg)- Bisglycinate (280mg)- Malate (280mg)- Taurate (280mg)- Gluconate (280mg)To sum it up:The new formula keeps the same total magnesium, so overall effectiveness is similar. It removed citrate (less laxative effect) and orotate (a premium heart-focused form) and added simpler forms like acetate and gluconate. Bisglycinate may absorb just as well or better. Cheaper to make, but not meaningfully lower quality for most people.
