The Crucial P310 2TB is an absolute beast in a tiny 2230 form factor! I installed it in my Steam Deck OLED and the performance jump is massive. I'm seeing real-world read speeds of 6800+ MB/s and write speeds around 5800 MB/s — this thing flies. Boot times are faster, games load noticeably quicker, and it runs surprisingly cool with excellent power efficiency. Perfect compatibility with Steam Deck, ROG Ally, MSI Claw, and Surface devices. I recently upgraded my Steam Deck with this 1TB SSD, and I am seriously impressed by its performance. Right out of the box, it was easy to install, and the speed is absolutely incredible. The read speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s make loading games and transferring files a breeze. Everything feels snappy, and I can now install even more games without worrying about space – a huge win for a gaming handheld like the Steam Deck. I bought this to upgrade my new surface pro elite from 256Gb to 1Tb. I was a bit apprehensive as comments on some video's said some ssd's did not perform well so I decided to go for a Crucial drive having always had good results in the past. I put the ssd in a Ugreen caddy and connected to the surface usb c to c. I then discovered I could not use Acronis clone disc as it does not support ARM chips. I however downloaded a free trial version of macrium reflect for ARM 64 bit. So easy to then clone the drive and extend the partitions (videos online show you how). I then took the drive out of the caddy, installed a copper heat sink (kits on amazon) on the drive. After fully shutting down the surface i popped off the drive cover (magnetic - push on the dimple). Using a torx T3 the drive screw can be removed and old ssd wiggled out. New one is just gently pushed in and cover plate snaps back ontop. Having attached the power supply the surface just booted as normal when the switched on as if nothing had happened. Only difference is now 1Tb and faster read/write speeds - see photo.

Using in steam deck no issues

Very good brand I installed this into my MSI clam 8 ai+ upgrading from a 1TB to a 2TB, 2TB is the sweet spot for storage and that’s why I upgraded it, some people have complained that it runs very hot, which is not the case I think it will be due to the fact that they are not using a thermal pad with the drive. Overall very very good and very fast.

Ottimo ssd , velocità in scrittura e lettura intorno ai 7000mb e temperature mai troppo elevate . Avrete sicuramente bisogno di un adattatore da ssd nvme 2230 a 2280 se volete utilizzarlo su schede madri per pc desktop ma nessun altra cosa da segnalare.

AMAZING m.2, I used it to upgrade my Legion Go storage, from 512 OEM one to 2tb, with a 2230 to 2242 converter, working fine without any inconvenience. I cloned original m.2 by installing these at my desktop motherboard, all information was cloned super fast. AAA games load and run incredibly fast, I find 2tb capacity ideal for my common usage, being 1tb not enough but 4tb too much, so I'm happy with my choice. Installing it is super easy on it, though you might look for a couple youtube videos for the whole process. Another thing that amazes me is it's temperature, ever since upgrading, my LeGo feels colder, which is always a pleasant thing, it should contribute for better device health and long lasting durability. I used a 2230 copper heatsink, bought here at Amazon too + converted mentioned before.
