It's not Mil-Spec, but then it's not expensive, either.
This NVG30 Night Vision Monocular is an amazing unit that fits the budget-conscientious outdoorsman. The clarity of his night optic is spectacular. It has the option to switch between multiple color modes, and there's an SD card compatibility for recording. It easily mounts to a kevlar helmet NVG mount and is good and solid. Uses a rechargeable battery and comes with all the cables you need. Easy to use, you don't have to be a tech guru to figure it out, and it's fully adjustable to fit different size faces once it's mounted on a helmet. But you don't have to use a helmet, you can just hold it by hand if you want. Now, there will be a bunch of armchair commandos out there claiming to be self-professed experts saying that this isn't anywhere near the quality of professional mil-spec equipment, and they'd be right. But let's be honest. The only people who really need that level of top-tier mil-spec quality are military ops personnel and SWAT - and they're not buying their gear on amazon. They can afford to get the stuff that costs 1,000's of bucks. But for outdoors enthusiasts, campers, hunters, hikers, who want to be able to look around their campsites at night and see what the heck is making all that noise in the dark, this monocular does the job with flying colors. It's not Mil-Spec, but then it's not expensive, either. It claims to be waterproof, but I haven't tried it out yet, and as with any camera or optic for that matter, I'd prefer to err on the side of caution and only trust it to be "moisture-resistant", and keep it away from standing water, and prefer to keep it out of the rain, or you might end up with an expensive paper-weight. That goes for anything that isn't true Mil-Spec equipment. It's a good value, and Fox-approved.

It works for the money
I bought this more for kids to play with, but i have been somewhat surprised. This is not a device I would bet my life on, but if you're using it in your back yard with a half to full moon it works very well. I took this out to our farm property and without IR illumination you can see 50 yards. The on board IR works, but it really needs more. There are newer versions that might be better, but if you're looking for a somewhat inexpensive device this could be for you

An excellent Night Vision Option for the price
Came for money is excellent if you are in a budget but want some sort of night vision capability, whether in the field or on a hike. Itโs pretty simple to use and looks sleek. Battery life is pretty good but charging does take a while. It doesnโt seem to weigh much more than a pVS-14 and mounts on a helmet easily. The night vision capability is limited but does in fact work. It is dim without the IR Illuminator (built in) turned on which does deplete the battery. This does light you up like a Christmas tree for others.

Fast shipping, good customer service.
The first product ordered was returned once already, but the issue was quickly resolved with a new product that operates properly out of the box. While there is noticeable lag in motion with this product, it works well relative to the price. I would recommend

Great digital NVG
For a digital NVG. Honestly, not bad. Has limitations so donโt think itโll replace analog monos for now. Still usable due to its almost nonexistent lag. But unfortunately still need an IR light as it does get too dark at times. Mostly would use this for sports not so much for duty use.

Not bad!
Pretty good quality for the price, my mount was kinda loose or had play and this has way more adjustability than than the nice fancy lookin mounts, allows it to line up for perfect visibility. It obviously is bulkier than the slider style rigs but it does the trick!

Works well
Very nice product. I only wish there was a good way to attach a lanyard and to be able to mount to a pic rail. Surprised how well it worked for night vision.

Boys Playing
Older grandson bought this for his younger brother who loves it. He sure looks cool with it as he & his friends play air soft in our orchard.
