Relationships: 11 Lessons to Give Kids a Greater Understanding of Biblical Sexuality

These books have excellent biblical foundations in how to talk to your kids about appropriate learning and practical guidelines for the early years of puberty, sex, and relationships (there are 3 separate books). I bought each book separately but should have just bought them all together. It is scripted, there are solid scriptures, and prayers that are imperative to these conversations. These books are broken up into weeks to allow one on one conversation and bite size pieces for big topics.

We really loved these books! We felt like they explained everything very well and with Scripture! We went through all the books with our 12 year old boy and only the first and second to the girl section with our ten year old girl. I definitely would recommend these but parents should use wisdom on what their kids need at their ages and maturity levels!

This has been a very effective tool to help me talk to my children. I could have had "the talk" without it, but this made it so much easier. I was also reminded of scriptures that back up our principles.

Godly view, true science, not overly in depth, not baby. This was perfect for my 9 and 8 yr. Old. They give the real science, and back it up with what God says. This answered questions they had and let me introduce the topic on thier level, with out going into things they had not thought of yet. It also opened the door for some in depth conversations about current topics and let me build upon the books information and God view to explain some world views and current topics. Exactly what we needed, truly answered prayers!!! Thank you.

I have the first book, The Talk, and you can go view my review there, which I was very impressed with. I have not yet done this book with my boys since I just received it and will come back and do a full review after. However, I find it frustrating not to know what is provided and discussed in this book so I hope these images help. I bought it because the last one was so good and easy to use. I will be using this with my 11 and 12 year old. From what I see so far it will be a great book to use as a guide with Biblical conversation with my boys.

Finally, a practical resource for talking to your children about sex and relationships from a biblical perspective. I wish I had known about this book sooner. I have also done The Talk with my youngest, again, I wish I'd known about it earlier. I have several other books by Christian authors that explain in great detail why we need to talk about sex to our kids, but have very little practical application apart from memorizing long paragraphs to reel off in the case your kids bring up the topic....this book is different. Each chapter is an opportunity to engage with your child, and to get them talking and thinking about how God designed sex, and how He wants what's best for us.

I researched so many books before settling on this one. I wanted the dialogue to be open between my daughter and me and this book has helped greatly. The script format is so helpful and the questions are also great for cementing the truth in and clarifying. Gilkerson uses Scripture well, which I always have my daughter read aloud beforehand. This is the second book I have received in this series and I am just as pleased with this as with the first.

Very thorough but thoughtful to where you don't feel like you're exposing your kids to unnecessary explanations. It's allowed for open, honest and biblical conversations with my boys. To do with your child, not let them read on own.

Nice to have step by step guidance, simple and basic. Has a warm comfortable feel to the wording and presented so positively.

Easy to follow and easy for children to understand. Highly recommended.
