Quiet - data transfer superb
Just hooked up this 10 G unit and it to works great. Quiet and data transfers perfect. I tried the TP-Link 10 G unmanned switch. That switch was louder than I wanted or expected. So I ordered this one. Awesome switch.

Does exactly what it says it does. Reliably.
I bought this to terminate the upstairs end of an optical fiber (Using a cheap 10GBase-SR SFP+) between the upstairs and downstairs of my AZ home. I wanted optical fiber because my connection is up/down and in AZ the induced surge in copper Ethernet from nearby (~ 1 mile) lightning strikes has twice blown out simple Ethernet switches. I knew with only a 1Gbps internet connection into my home it would be over-kill for bandwidth but I wanted to be ready for full-duplex fiber arriving one day. I had not appreciated the improvement in subjective LAN behavior brought by the lower latencies introduced by the fast buffer movements in my switches though. I do move large video files and Linux distribution ISOs around my network and now regularly see 600MBps (disk limited) transfers, and 150MBps for thousands of small files too. Very happy. This switch is quiet (fanless), runs cool, is so far reliable, and fast. The fabric is able to keep up with multiple 10GbE flows so it checks all of my needs, even the ones I had not realized before purchase. It does accept off-brand (cheap) SFP+. Recommended.

Easy plug and play 2.5Gb RJ45 10GB sfp+
works great. plug it into your 2.5GB capable router and split it off to other pcs. Also has 2 SFP+ ports for high speed LAN between 2 pcs on home network. SFP+ 10gig card 40$ SFP+ transceiver 12$ 8$ for lc to lc multimode fiber cable. If you have multiple pcs that sends data backs and forth this is the ultimate setup on buget. 10gb copper is good but those components cost much more. After a few days of use I have come to realize the SFP transceiver gets very warm when in the switch. I put a small desk fan set on low to move a little air into the vent holes o one side of switch and out the other side. this helped tremendously. SFP+ transceiver is a 10gtek

Great price. Unconventional port activity lights.
5 starts for price and functionality. A couple of annoying things: 1- Unlike many other switches, yellow light on the port indicates -higher- speed. Green light indicates lower speed. 2- The rate of blink when the port is transmitting is too slow and can easily be mistaken with something being wrong with the port. The annoying slow blink rate combined with 1, made me think there is something wrong with this switch and I power cycled it several times.

operates as designed, accepted 10Base-T modules
I bought this to bridge 10 gigabit fiber to 2.5 gigabit copper and hopefully a 10 gigabit copper port too. I bought a copper adapter for one of the SFP+ ports. I liked the fanless operation and small size. It delivers on these fully. It works flawlessly that I can tell. It does not produce a lot of heat. It works with the 10 gigabit copper SFP+ module and the off brand 10 gigabit fiber SFP+ module I have. I wish the supplied power adapter was a "sideways" model so that it didn't block as many ports on a power strip. That's my only real criticism. I also wish there was a way to dim or turn off some of the flashy lights. But I knew that would be an issue going in. It'll take some time to know if it is reliable long term but it seems great in the days I've had it. No regrets at all.

Great value switch - and my cooling solution
User Skexies left a photo review with a solution for the heat issue with a product link to a compatible 4010 blower fan available here on Amazon. I've taken this helpful info and done one further, creating a fan shroud for the 4010 blower that fits inside the switch above the SFP+ slots. The fan can be soldered directly to the 12V power jack inside. If you have a 3D printer, go to Printables and search for "Yuanley YS25-0402 Fan Shroud". It needs to be printed with supports, and use PETG, ASA, or ABS, etc, just not PLA. The "ears" slip right under the mounting holes at the exhaust end of the fan and super glue holds it in place. 4010 cooling fan: https://a.co/d/3fbzlba

Good when it works
It works great when it's up and running. However, it has one major flaw. When it's sitting for a long time, it just stops working and must be restarted. Until I unplug it and plug it back in, it won't pass traffic. It gets pretty warm to the touch, and I think maybe it is overheating?? I don't hear the sound of a fan, but I'm not sure if it has an internal fan anyway. So, bottom line, it works, but it's unreliable in this current state. I will admit, that it is completely possible I just got a dud, but since it will not permanently fail, I don't know if its a problem with this model or just an unlucky lemon. I was really worried about buying a bargain switch for this reason. If it continues I'm going to return it. I'm giving it the benefit of a "break in" period.
