Peace Be Unto All Present, I received my beans day before yesterday, ( Friday, 03/13/2015 ), put enough in kosher-salt soaking in a 5qt mixing bowl, which the following day. I rinsed and then placed them in a 6 1/2qt enameled cast iron dutch oven; I then placed them in my oven at 225 degrees for a duration of 7 hours. First brining in kosher salt, and then Slo-o-o-ow cooking is the secret to arriving at beans with tender skins and excellent bite that melt in your mouth. I bought these beans in 2017 knowing nothing about dried beans. Over the years I've learned a lot. These beans were so old when I received them that soaking them overnight and processing in a pressure canner for 90 minutes would not soften them. Still I thought it was my fault. I soaked them in a baking soda bath, rinsed and cooked them on top of the stove for three hours and then processed in my All American pressure canner for 90 minutes. The beans emerged hard as a rock. It's many years later and I am still bitter about the time and energy spent on these very, very old beans.

The beans have a great price, but the shipping cost was so very high, actually $9 higher than the cost of the beans.

Beans, also small, cook well and taste good. Will order again.

Tiniest white navy beans I have ever seen! They plump up nicely with soaking, cook up quickly, and have great flavor. Not thrilled with the huge delivery charge but I will check the fine details next time. They came packed in one bag, easily transferred into half gallon canning jars for storage and to retain freshness. They were very clean, no dirt or stones in them.

I haven't used it. It is on my shelf to use in case something goes wrong and there is a food shortage.
