I’m no musician myself, but the recipient of the book is delighted and assures me the accuracy of the music is good. My score of 4/5 relates to the print quality of the book itself. The outer cover of the book is in colour with a glossy finish. However, the inside pages are a black and white print run. This isn’t a negative for the music pages as they are all clearly legible, but it means the inside cover image is a black & white version of the front image and thus appears like a more amateur print. The book has a printed spine but is stapled, so the spine appears misaligned. Ironically, it functions better as a music book this way as it can be fully opened without a spine getting in the way. However, it does contribute to the more amateur appearance of the book’s print. For that reason, I feel it looks cheaper than the full asking price would suggest and that might be a consideration if buying as a gift. I paid the reduced price of £15.75 and feel that was about right. However, if buying for yourself as a fan of the music, those factors may not be relevant and a higher price might feel worthwhile.
