I use this in my work as a cook, we need a good reliable thermometer to measure the heat of the meals we prepare. The price was very reasonable and it's easy to read the temp. Its easy to carry and it will stick to the stainless steel tables we use. Highly recommend this to anyone for home use or in the professional work area.

as a chef, this is absolutely the gold standard for digital thermometers. They have a range over 400 degrees F, so I can easily and quickly check temps on anything I need to in the kitchen, including the fryer. One of the biggest differences between this and a cheaper digital thermometer (i.e. the ones most normies have in their home) is this is an instant read thermometer. I don't have time to wait for the temperature, i need it now, and you get an accurate temp within 1 second. It's super easy to use, stores easily in the chef coat pocket, it works quickly, open it, press one button, take a temp and youre done. Honestly I've had quite a lot of thermometers of varying degrees of quality, and this is absolutely the best one. They last forever, the battery lasts a long time, they're durable.

Nice heavy thermometer, easy read. The only reason for 4 stars is because I cannot get it to calibrate to 32 degrees. Ice water and all, only goes as low as 33 so I guess we add subtract 1 degree while using it. I looked on line for directions but I haven't found the trick yet.

Thermometer has been off 2-4 degrees since day 1. Item cannot be calibrated, if I could give negative stars I would. Avoid spend the extra to get something reliable.
