It’s good for beginners! Probably not great. I am a beginner. I have no experience with crochet but I wanted to give it a whirl. A QR code is provided that takes you to a video playlist on YouTube. I think this could be a little better. I’ve had to turn on captions and turn the speed down to the slowest setting to follow the video. But, I do have half of the pink dinosaur finished. So it is possible. But you need to want it. I have found crocheting fun and will continue with these little dinosaurs! This set is a great value! I don’t know that the thread is the highest quality, but it’s definitely working! I have found it fun to do! The design is cute! All-in-all, I think the item is good quality!

The one negative for me is that the yarn does split easily. Overall though, the pattern worked great for me, and there was a bunch of extra yarn. There's two hooks so this could be a learning kit for two people at once. Looking up the company on YouTube pulled up plenty of videos to follow along, and incidentally, the video with the magic circle was the first one I watched (and I watched many) that made it click. The wings, legs, etc are a little fiddly, that could be due to my lower skill level, but I feel like this is geared at people if my skill level Probably a 4 out of 5 for the kit itself (depending on your tolerance for yarn splitting), but I'm giving it the fifth star for the little extra bit it provided me regarding the magic circle. I didn't factor this into my score, but for me at least, while learning, thin yarn is harder to work with, and this is thinner yarn than the basic stuff I usually got. The yarn is the correct size, which is why I'm not deducting points, but may be worth considering for beginners

I dont usually write reviews however the mixed reviews for this product had me second guessing if I should risk it or not. I am NOT a beginner crocheter. Definitely not advanced, but I have made several basic plushes before using this kit. The kit has everything you need to make all 4 dinos including some extra practice yarn to practice stitches before using it on your project. The scissors included work well, there are several stitch markers, 2 crochet hooks (of the same size, not sure why), stuffing, a needle, and safety eyes. The kit is definitely usable and will allow you to create exactly what is advertised. With that being said, this is NOT beginner friendly. If you are a true beginner who has never touched crochet and are trying to give it a go, this is NOT THE PURCHASE FOR YOU. The instructions for creating each stitch are very confusing and written in an extremely overwhelming way. The yarn is not difficult to use but definitely not easy either. It gets caught easily and frays but is still usable with some patience and focus. I also noticed several key details missing from the instructions such as how to know if your project is facing the right way (cuz you usually need to turn it inside out), how to put on the safety eyes, and how to use a stitch marker. I have not yet completed the entire set and have not seen any mention of these things, luckily though, I already know how to do them. Instead of purchasing this kit as a beginner, I highly recommend a kit from The Woobles. These kits are great quality and also come with everything you need (besides scissors). I do have to say the woobles are definitely pricey, however the process will be so much calmer and more enjoyable. The instructions for the woobles are spot on and the yarn is amazing for beginners. Ive done several of their kits and never had an issue. I tried this kit to see if I could get something simple to do that is cheaper than the woobles and honestly, if you are actually a beginner, trust me when I say the woobles sets are worth the price and will actually teach you how to crochet on your own. With all that being said, the kit is still usable, at the cost of lots of patience, stress, and focus. I would not recommend this kit for a first-time crocheter.

I saw this Crochetta Elephant kit and thought how cute it looked, after reading the reviews on Amazon about this brand I decided to give it a try, and it didn’t disappoint. It came with everything I needed to make this pattern. It also came with a printed pattern booklet which was wonderful as I didn’t need to download a video for pattern, the pattern is very easy to read and follow, written a lot like the wooble patterns which is so much better for beginners learning to crochet to make these cute small versions of Amigurumi’s. This kit and pattern booklet came with two patterns so you could make a boy and a girl. I made the girl and it turned out so cute!!! The Quality of the kit and the size and price is Absolutely the Best and it’s Fun for kids too! Will be making the boy next!

The instructions are confusing and this feels nothing like beginner level. I fought with it for two+ hours and the yarn kept separating and slipping I never actually even achieved anything beyond the chain loop or whatever it’s called. The moment you hook the yarn to start your chain it either slips or the yarn completely separates. The hook seems too small to hold on to the yarn. Then you have start completely over. I’m so frustrated as I hoped this would really help as a beginner to learn the technique. Yarn quality is terrible because if it would not stop separating so that I could hook it better. Made me feel so defeated that I trashed both kits because I refused to spend any more effort into this product. I even reached out to an expert at crocheting and she even said this was certainly NOT FOR BEGINNERS and of poor quality.
