I have two mini-splits in my home. A local HVAC company wanted $200 to clean each one. I found this item as an alternative to do it myself. Very easy to use and well-built. I stretched the bag around the mini-split, installed the provided wall shields inside the bag as further protection, attached the long drain hose and out it in a 5 gallon bucket. I then proceeded to use an approved no rinse cleaner. I let it sit for 10 mins and then took a spray bottle of water and sprayed the internals down to get all the stuff off. All of the water and cleaner were caught by the bag and drained into the bucket. I let it sit for another 15 mins to ensure all water was drained out. It easily detached from the unit and I repeated with the second unit. Afterwards I let all the pieces thoroughly dry before I packed them away. It is well made and sturdy enough I can get several years of uses out of this and save myself a ton of money in cleaning costs while also keeping my units clean and running efficiently.

I bought this to clean my 1 ton Mitsubishi air handler. The description said it fits units up to 35 inches in width, but it fit my 36 incher just fine. I installed it exactly per instructions, and not a drop of liquid ran down the wall. I am super happy with this product and recommend it. "Hvac guys" seems to sell quality products that I have bought before, and so far no regrets. It looks to be made of fairly good materials so I should get a couple of years out of it. It paid for itself the first use.

This worked well for cleaning our Fujitsu mini split air handler, though it turned out to be a bigger job than I anticipated (no fault of the cleaning cover). The cover appears to durable and I think it is worth the money. Make sure you get the right width cover for your unit. You'll need a 5 gallon bucket to drain the hose into and I ended up putting a plastic drop cloth over some drapes below the unit at my wife's insistence. The cover contains the mess and channels it into the bucket well but you are bound to get something on the floor so keep some towels near-by.

This is perfect for my mini split. It keeps the liquid contained. The drain line allows the cleaning solvent to drain into a bucket. I am completely satisfied with this product.

I've had my Mitsubishi Mr. Slims for about 18 years now. The only thing I DON'T like about them is the periodic cleaning that must be done on them. While cleaning the coils and fins is not hard at all-you COULD get away with hitting them with a foaming cleaner and then just run the unit to rinse the coils with the condensation the unit makes as a matter of function. The blower wheel, on the other hand, is a bear to clean. And in my experience, it gets WAY filthier than the coils do for some reason. Early on, the only way to really clean the fan was to loosen the coils and pry them away from the unit to make clearance to get the fan out. It always made me nervous that I was going to bend or break something in the process. Whoever invented these cleaning bibs/bags is a genius. You do still need to take the cover off the indoor unit, as well as the directional fins under the blower. (Your mini-split may be different than mine.) I also remove the drain pan to give it a good cleaning as well as shoot some vinegar followed by some compressed air down the drain line to make sure it's flowing properly. The bag has good elastic banding and sturdy brackets that hook on to the frame of the indoor unit. The hose is plenty long to route into a bucket. I sprayed the coils with foaming cleaner as well as the blower wheel. While those soaked in the cleaner, I washed the drain pain, the air vents and the unit cover outside. Then I rinsed the coils and fan with the Fantik NB8 Nano Portable Electric Sprayer. (Available on Amazon, highly recommended!) I actually ended up doing the fan about 3 times, as every time more gunk would wash away and down the hose into the bucket. The bib worked great on keeping the mess contained, and really makes a lousy job much more tolerable. I've seen people claim that a professional charges $300-$500 to clean these. It's not the most fun I've ever had, but if you're somewhat capable of taking on a DIY project and you watch enough YouTube videos, you can probably handle this job yourself. This bib will certainly encourage me to clean my mini-splits more often, which is probably good for my health and the health of the A/C system.

This is a very good kit. The side of the bags have plastic panels with hooks that goes behind the unit and then it has velcro all over the edges for you to attach the clear panels to prevent any spills and spray. All these are properly labelled with stickers on them and the instructions on how to mount the bag on is clearly depicted on the side panels. It only took me 30s to mount the whole thing up. I used foam cleaner so all i need is another bucket to hold all the dirty "coca cola" drained from the unit.

This mini-split cleaning bag was perfect. Not only did it catch all the dirty water, it also kept the dirt that was brushed off from going all over the place.

Works great to keep water to a minimum while cleaning mini splits. I bought the larger one because the smaller one is very tight.

This kit does all it’s supposed to do. You can clean your indoor unit *perfectly* and thus so much better than any Singapore aircon contractor. If you care about the air quality in your house, if you want your children breathing clean air and if you are tired of the underdelivery of Singapore’s catastrophic air conditioning contractors, this is what you want to get!
