I purchased this window for my sister and had Amazon deliver it to her address as a gift. She needed a window at this size. I almost didn't want to buy it because of the inaccurate bad reviews. This sturdy heavy weight window is fit perfect, is well built, easy to install, matches her exterior/looks stylish, great price, and opens and closes well. I installed four of these last summer. So far, no issues. The install was easy, they look good on the house, and all of them open easily. I recommend they for those awkward crawl spaces with small window openings.

Happy to find this item. I’m using it to create a seasonal vent / airflow for a large double hung window that weighs a ton and doesn’t have screens. I’ve built a frame to fit the space out of pvc board and it’s coming out great! I’ve attached a pic. I’ll cover the open rectangles with plexiglass. In the fall, I’ll simply remove this and close the window before snow flies. Voila! Fresh air whenever I need it.

The window openings in my basement were filled at some point with glass block. It always drove me crazy that there was no ventilation down there. A year or so back I had someone take a look to see what it would cost to put in basement, sliders or hoppers and I think it was like $600 or $800 a window installed, which is probably not terrible as it’s a lot of work breaking out the block and reframing. Instead, I thought I would tackle the project by installing these hopper windows for a little bit of ventilation. Firstly, I’d say I’m pretty handy and I’ve learned quite a bit from YouTube. Not sure what we did before that. Essentially what I did was used a concrete bit to blow holes between the glass block joints as I needed to take out two blocks as you can see from the pictures. Needless to say make sure you wear safety glasses and I should’ve put something on my face as I did get some glass and concrete chips shooting back. I would also say depending on the gap in the joints if you’re doing something similar is to use a bit a little smaller mine was 5/16 and it ended up cracking one of the blocks. You could also see the picture of the mortar that I used. You just mix it right in the container. Was just enough for one window. I basically just laid the mortar down and put the window in and leveled it and then filled around the sides in the top. I still probably have to do some caulking and I’ll use that gray mortar caulk but for now it looks good and I highly recommend the window. it will probably take most people three or four hours I would think.

Good quality operable window. We are using these above interior doors as transom windows to help regulate the minisplit air conditioning. They also look great after door trim. Great job! Alot less $, BIG interior design appeal and functions well for air flow. Love ya

Nice little window, but twice the price as menards.

This hopper window was a perfect solution for my project. It arrived promptly and came with a nice little kit to add a frame around the outside of the window. Very satisfied.

Double pane window ; it has a diffuser for light so you cannot see through ;I did not try to peal it.Frame is strong; it is made to be used with 2 1/2 in. thick glass block wall with mortar.Many sizes to choose from.Has a bug screen.I used 2 to go above my Air Conditioner in a wood panel ,I installed after removing window ;for light and fresh air when not in use.
