1.7L Cordless Kettle, Silver, KE2000SD

It matches my B&D coffee pot. It is not very heavy, it depends on how much water you fill it with (my friend has one of another kind and it is way too heavy). I especially like the ease of using it. It fills nicely with a gauge on the side so that you know how much you have put in. It heats quickly but not as fast as putting the cup in a microwave. The strainer in the spout is sort of hard to take in and out but it does a good job. The fact that you can just reheat the water in the pot quickly makes up the difference. The lid only opens when you push the button on the top of the handle so I don't need to worry about accidently burning myself with a lid pop off. I recommend this product to anyone wanting to just heat water for tea, cocoa, etc. I am very happy with mine.

This is my 2nd purchase of this kettle. I bought my first one back in 2016 and absolutely loved it. The old one finally bit the dust yesterday (08/14) and I immediately looked online for a replacement. Amazon had it for about the same price I paid for the first one (it was $15 more for the same kettle at the place I purchased the 1st, not including tax & shipping). Received it today (08/15). Now enjoying a hot cup of tea and looking forward to coffee (French pressed) in the morning. Just FYI, we use this everyday (multiple times). Water heats up really fast ( I usually heat my water for soups or pasta in the kettle, then add to the pot. It’s that quick). And the best feature is that it automatically shuts off when it comes to a boil (unless you accidentally leave the lid open). Great purchase.!!

Didn’t last much more than a year under multiple daily use (3+ times a day). But when it did work it worked well… we were sad when it died as it was effective (while it lasted). If you have 1-3 cups of tea a day, you won’t be disappointed -1 star for lack of durability under heavy use.

I really like this for heating up water. I had an older on for a few years and thought I liked it the most. I was wrong. This one is easier to fill and looks like the lid will last a lot longer. The old one the screws finally wore out. I really prefer this over the old one now.

After less than a year, this thing is broken.. the "off" mechanism does not work, so the boiling water boils, and boils and boils until it's gone, and the kitchen is steamed up, unless I happen to be hanging around waiting for it to boil and I can manually shut it off. I thought Black and Decker was a good brand, but apparently not...

It boils water quickly and shuts off by itself. It replaced an earlier model Black & Decker when the lid on that one wore out. It lasted quite a few years. So far so good. The filter inside the spout does dislodge by itself sometimes, but it is easy to replace.
