Rough Country V2 Steering Stabilizer for 16-24 Chevy/GMC 2500/3500HD - 8730170

Chevy should have made this a factory option! I replaced my entire suspension with moog problem solver and bilstien shocks after going to 33 inch tires and bringing the factory keys up a bit. Truck walked a lot on the road. Now it’s very minimal with this stabilizer. It touched at full turn on the pitman arm bolt and a little at drag link at full passenger lock but not enough that it would damage the stabilizer. Easy install worth the money. It does it a 2WD

I received this without any mounting hardware. I contacted the manufacturer and they refused to help me, and would not respond to any questions after my initial contact. I will be returning to Amazon and ordering a different brand instead

Easy installation

Works good. Installed on a 2024 Silverado 2500HD. You have to modify the small washers for the bracket on the lower control arm bolt if you are installing on stock suspension. Simply cut the washers into a "C" shape so they slip over the bolt, you do not need to fully remove the lower control arm bolt, just back it out enough to slip two modified washers over the bolt. They are used to space out the frame where the bracket goes. Everything else bolted up easily. Been running this kit for a few weeks now without issue.

Pitman arm bolt hits the cylinder . needed to be cut ! The Washers for bracket had to be modified / cut open to go over the bolt. Also the bushing for the drag link hole did not fit onto the bolt! I cut a line into it to open up and slide onto bolt. I would look at other brands to purchase. Possibly ones made in the USA ! Not china ! I will be switching out after this summers camping season around the country ! Bought this brand after watching a You Tube video on it for a '24 2500 HD . Went nothing like the video ! There was no sticker on the cylinder also stating brand. Not that the sticker affects performance ! Just not sure of manufacturer ? Move along onto a USA made brand, if possible !!

Quality product. Simple to install. Although you really do not feel added resistance it does keep the steering wheel from jerking all over when you hit a bump or pothole. Definately improves the driving experience.

Had to return missing parts

Perfect fit and easy install on my 2016 Sierra 2500HD. Took the slop and shimmy out of the steering, even after I had the box and tie rods replaced! 100% would recommend! I ended up ordering a Rough Country shock boot, prior to installation, to put over this cylinder to protect it.

Installed on 2022 chevy 2500 HD, im running 35's and do spend more time on gravel roads than pavement, so figured this would be a nice upgrade. Smooths out the steering, takes harshness of bumps away, works awesome. Update: it almost lasted a year. Very aggressive leak from the cylinder I noticed, about 10.5 months of using it.
