No, it was too small, I had to re-buy it for my son on Amazon, on the recommendation of a friend I bought ACESAK boys backpack, my son loved it and it came with a lunch bag and a charm.

Can i use it for 9th grade?

No, it's a small backpack for smaller kids in kindergarten to 2nd grade atleast.

Can this be washed in the washing machine?

No. The tag inside Do Not Wash/Bleach/Tumble dry/Iron, so hand wash only
