New York Times Bestseller! USA Today Bestseller! The highly anticipated sequel to My Life with the Walter Boys , the internationally bestselling novel that inspired the Netflix series! Jackie Howard returns to the Walter ranch after a summer in New York. She needed space―and got it. But she doesn't know where things stand with her and Cole Walter after that goodbye kiss. Over the summer, she stopped texting him. She never stopped thinking about him. Still, with Cole living off in town to work at Tony's garage before he heads off to college, Jackie thinks it'll be easy to avoid him―only to find that when she sees him face to face at last, it's, well... impossible to resist him. Things are getting complicated: he's the boy she can't get off her mind, and the Walters have become the family she loves and needs. How can Jackie move forward when she's afraid of taking the next step? Review: The best book ever!!! - I can't stress this enough. This book is amazing. I read the first book in two and a half days and finshed the second in the same amount of time. I am totally team COLE! ! This book keeps you on your toes, wether that means waiting for hints with the passionate love triangle between Cole Jackie and Alex or following the chaotic story of the Walter family, you can't not love this book. 100% recommend The TV show is amazing too, but quite different. Review: Better than the first book - My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Swearing: 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ Tropes: ❤️🩹Friends to lovers 🏘️Opposites attract ❤️🩹Small town 🏘️Grumpy x sunshine ❤️🩹Found family This one was definitely better than the first book!! I thought at some points it was kind of slow and very descriptive, but then other parts were really fast. This book was good, you get to see more of Jackie and Cole together and figuring out if they want to have a relationship or not. You see more character development through out this book with each of the characters. I loved that you get to hear from more of the family in this book, yes I did forget half of the kids names buttttttt there is 13 of them so can you blame me? Anyway like I said with the first one I’d rate this 14-15+ it again had some suggestive dialogue.

Love the book
The book came in perfect condition and I haven’t noticed any defects. The story is amazing and I don’t have to wait long at the library to read this anymore. Definitely would buy again.

A low-stakes romance - vague plot
This is the sequel to My Life with the Walter Boys. I have to say that it felt a lot different from the first book and I know part of that has to do with the fact that Ali hasn't written these characters in several years. That being said, I didn't really get that fun, page-turning anticipation with this one as I did with the first book. Things just sort of happened and then the book was over. There was kind of a plot: Jackie wanting to heal from the loss of her family and Cole wanting to make something of himself, but again, neither character really makes an effort to change those things. And to be honest, their miscommunication got tiresome. I understand that they are still only teens, but I hope the teens reading this book won't idealize this relationship. And I agree with the other reviewers who said that this book would benefit from an epilogue or maybe even a third book. What about the other characters? And do Jackie and Cole get their HEA?

Most enjoyable!
What an addictive adaptation! I couldn't wait for lunch breaks to find out what happened next with Cole and Jackie. At nights, I'd lay in bed, nodding on myself, still trying to flip through the pages. This book has real heart. Amazing writing that truly inspires and comes to life. You could 'feel' its soul. I shocked myself when Jackie was eavesdropping on a conversation, and the floorboards creaked, and I instinctively gasped and covered my mouth! Lol. What a truly wonderful piece.

What the heck!!
I really would’ve wish the book would’ve came in the morning on release day and not 9pm but it’s okay lol. The actual book itself was everything I expected it to be. But there was never a defining point for Jackie and Cole’s relationship. I didn’t like that. They just started dating and I was confused as hell. The ending was also slightly disappointing.SPOLIER!!! Also I found it hella weird that Jackie walked in on Cole pleasuring himself. I do read a lot of spicy books but I felt as if it was kind of misplaced in this book. Like they’re are some sexual innuendo but the jerking off thew me in a loop. It was definitely super funny but kinda threw me off.
