Invisible Strings: 113 Poets Respond to the Songs of Taylor Swift [Frederick Daugherty, Kristie] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Invisible Strings: 113 Poets Respond to the Songs of Taylor Swift Review: Amazing - This book contains 113 poems, each inspired by a Taylor Swift song. The poems don't say which song they're inspired by, which I had hoped when I bought the book, but I found I didn't care so much as I read the poetry. The poetry itself is absolutely gorgeous. Truly divine. I make marks in my books for my favorite lines and leave Post-It tabs for my favorite poems on pages, and my copy is completely filled with highlights and has so many Post-It tabs that it's unreal. I'm a poet myself, and this book has inspired me to write more. Knowing these poems were inspired by some of my favorite songs (you can tell what some of them are, but others are more difficult) was such a treat. Either way, this is a top-tier poetry collection. If you're a Taylor Swift fan, you appreciate good writing -- and that makes this a perfect book for you! Review: Great poems. Fun to guess. - Arrived in good time. Great poetry that really make you think. Beautifully written and nicely put together. I’ve only read the first few poems because, for myself.. I feel the need to guess the song it’s based off of before I move on. It’s hard and makes you think which is so fun. But I think I’m gonna just read it through before I start NEEDING to guess, because the quality of poems are great

A Fabulous Find--This is a Book You Will Be Glad You Own
A friend of mine bought this book for his daughter, but guess what? It was my friend, a dad in his 40's who read every single poem and wrote down which song had been the poet's inspiration. When the list was announced he was so excited. That's the power of Invisible Strings. In terms of full disclosure, I was honored to be invited to submit a poem. I loved how out-of-the-box I needed to go to achieve something I was very proud of writing. And now, I'm working on an anthology titled Birdbrains: A Lyrical Guide to Birds of Washington State. My matching of birds (Northern Flicker anyone?) was directly inspired by this collection. Highly recommended!

Great Poems, Needs Somg Titles
This is a fun book with great poetry! I only wish each poem stated the title of the Taylor Swift song it was based off of. That would have pushed it over the top for me (especially since I'm not a TS person, but love many of the poets who are included in this book).

Not what I expected
This just wasn’t what I thought it would be. The poetry wasn’t to our liking. I thought I’d be able to read these with my daughters (All Swift fans) and match it to a song. Most of it wasn’t our style of poetry. A few I enjoyed.

Great resource for high school English teachers
After seeing Maggie Smith give a talk in which she references contributing to this book, I had to order it for my high school English resource library. I’ve found that students enjoy reading TS and related literature - even kids who don’t care about TS still enjoy the pop culture of it.

There is Life after 'Eros'
There are more than 100 free-spirited, unconfined and untortured poets in this collection inspired by the lyrics and references of Taylor Swift. What a way to add memories to the tour that broke all records. The Swifties not only approved this collection, but its accuracy-- these poets really did know their territory.

An Ode To Invisible Strings
Invisible Strings is an excellent book! It’s definitely worth taking a look. If you cannot match the poems to their songs— Do not despair! This is where you belong. Keep trying, talk with friends, take a second read. If you own a white horse, perhaps consult your steed? At the end of the day, many Swifties agree: Reading Invisible Strings is the place to be!

this is beautifully curated. It’s a poetry anthology that you can enjoy as such. I bought this instead of the Eras Tour book and I couldn‘t be happier about my choice. I’d take this work of literature over simple merch any day!
