If you fancy trying a centre-pin, this is great at the price.
I had this recommended as a good starting point to experience using a centre-pin.For £30.00 it's impossible to fault; the quality of finish is flawless, the bearings run freely and it's so simple, very easy to disassemble for cleaning.The only gripe is that the spool has a bit of horizontal play (along the "pin") - but no big deal. There's also the issue that the spool can't be removed without tools - if the line manages to get twisted between the spool and reel body its game-over, unless you have a small Philips-head screwdriver in you kit!
