Machinist Ruler - Metal Rulers Pack of 4, 6/8/12/14 Inch Metric MM Ruler, Stainless Steel

PROS: price, accuracy, print size, comfort, quality CONS: NONE, though I worry that the "stainless steel" will rust over time in my humid garage I needed to make some precision cuts and fractions of a millimeter mattered. The affordable ALLWIN Machinist Rulers (Set of 4) were exactly what I needed. The price ($6.29) was just right. The four sizes give you the ability to get into tight spaces. The two smaller sizes are nice and thin, but strong and stable. My only limitation was my old eyes. Would buy again.

They are all easy to use and read. Very durable and very well designed and made. If you do any kind of work that requires exact measurements then you need these rulers. I am an older man who is a perfectionist and everything that I do and build must be done professionally. I use these tools for almost everything that I build. I would recommend purchasing these for any projects that you want to build. The numbers are very easy to read and see.

Accuracy seems spot on and quality was excellent. They don't bend or deform very easily as they are fairly thick. Would but again if I ever need another set.

For the price these are not bad. You honestly get a couple more than I would expect. They work just fine, but they are not precision rulers. Consider PEC rulers if you want higher quality, they will be about the same price as this 4pack for a single ruler but they are the higher quality option. These are a good option PROS: - Engravings and "hints" are super easy to read. - Hints are every 1/8", I'm a big fan of that style. - Markings are deep enough that it should protect them from being scuffed and worn away. - You get 4 rulers, at the time they were $6.60. Hard to beat. CONS: - "Precision" cut on the leading edge, haphazardly cut on the trailing edge. - The trailing edge is 1/8" short on some rules. - None of the rulers were exactly 6", 8", 12", or 14" (by their own scale), all were off by at least 1/32", most were off by 1/16" or more. - The leading edge (in regards to the scale) is pretty acceptable for the price, not perfect, but "good enough". - It's a little thin at 1/32", 1/16" would be ideal. Pretty bend resistant, but thicker would be better.

When I started 3D printing I was basically forced to re-learn the metric system - it had been many years since I needed it. But I do a lot of practical prints - replacing broken parts, making hangers and connectors and so on. So I needed metric rulers. Which I seem to misplace endlessly. There's four rulers here, each a different length. Yes, they are steel so you can slap them on a magnet and hopefully not forget where they are. Great quality and a really good price.

The assortment was more than I anticipated. Excellent for designing 3D-printed models. Accurate, sturdy and easy to read. Happy with the purchase.

Great product, great price, great service

Nice, useful set of rulers. Not quite satin chrome and the markings are painted on, not engraved but if you want Starret you have to be wiling to pay the price. The finish is not highly reflective almost as good as satin chrome. These are a very good set at a very good price. The markings at the ends are precise; no "extra length" as some cheap steel rules have. Metric scales are on both edges of one side and inch scales on both edges of the other side. That works for most any situation measuring from a corner.
