Perfect coffee maker for everyday use!
I absolutely love this coffee maker! It’s very versatile since you can use both pods and ground coffee, which is super convenient. The coffee comes out hot and full of flavor every time. It’s easy to use, quick to brew, and the different size options are very helpful. The design looks modern and fits nicely in my kitchen. Cleaning is also simple. Overall, great quality and totally worth it. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Time to open your own home café!
This Ninja single serve coffee maker has been such a smart purchase for our household. My teen loves those expensive coffee shop drinks, and I really wanted to show him that he can make something just as good at home without constantly spending his hard earned money. He actually invested in this machine himself (even found an open box deal that looked brand new and saved a few extra bucks), and it has absolutely paid off. We’re easily saving over $1,000 a year making coffee at home and honestly, it’s been fun experimenting with all the different options. What really sets this machine apart is the versatility. It’s not just a basic coffee maker it truly feels like having a coffee shop at home. There’s an espresso option for quick, strong shots (which Dad loves), a cold brew setting that’s perfect for iced drinks (a huge win for my teen), and even a built in frother on the side so you can make those café style drinks right at home. You can also use pods for convenience or brew your own coffee, which gives you total flexibility. The machine itself is sturdy, reliable, and the perfect size and we don’t have to fill up the Water reserve too often and really well made unlike the other popular brand name starting with a K which I won’t name ! It’s exactly what I’ve come to expect from Ninja. We own several of their products, and they consistently deliver great quality and value. This has been one of those purchases that truly makes a difference long term. If you’re looking to save money, cut back on daily coffee runs, and still enjoy high quality drinks with lots of options, I highly recommend it.

Rivals Keurig
I gotta say, this rivals Keurig and makes a quick and lovely cup of coffee. I've been a coffee drinker all of my life and since I'm old, I started out with a percolator. Eventually Bunn entered the home coffee maker market and I was hooked. Because it had a reservoir to keep water hot and ready to brew at the touch of a button, I got my coffee much faster. Years later, someone gifted me my first Keurig and that was it. I became a single serve coffee maker fanatic. There was nothing faster and no more burnt or stale coffee. Yes, yes - a French press makes the finest cup of coffee but I do not wake up in any condition to use a French press. I need coffee and I need it fast. So Keurig has dominated the single serve arena for quite some time. I have had a number of Keurigs over the years, as well as Nespresso machines and a few espresso machines. In fact, I currently have a delightful Nespresso Vertuo machine that I adore but I don't use heavily because of the very high cost of capsules and the relatively small number of decaf offerings. My Keurig was the heavy hitter until it recently began to just turn off randomly in the middle of brewing a cup of coffee. When searching for a replacement, I happened upon this machine by Ninja. I LOVE Ninja appliances! I have their vacuums, blenders, ice cream makers, a drip coffee maker, and an amazing air fryer with 2 baskets so I was intrigued. This one did offer a 12oz cup size and a rich coffee setting like my recently defunct Keurig so I decided to order. I chose the XL for the larger water reservoir (68oz), although it's still not as large as my Keurig had. When it arrived the next day, I was excited to get brewing but I did take the time to check out all the features (and there are quite a few.) First to mention is that you can use standard K-cups and brew a 6, 8, 10, or 12oz cup of coffee. But the surprising feature is that you can brew ground coffee and select a 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 18 or 24oz cup size! You will need to drop in the permanent filter (which stores neatly in a compartment on the side of the machine) but you can fill up a travel mug this way. Wonderful! There is also an Over Ice setting to brew an iced coffee and a Specialty Coffee setting that brews an intense, 4oz, cup of coffee that is similar to espresso in strength and is good for recipes that call for strong brewed coffee. Also, there is a swing out milk frother that's fun. It doesn't heat - only froths - but it's still quite handy and the wand twists off easily for rinsing under the tap. Finally, there is a little cup platform that can be moved up and down, depending upon the size of your cup. I don't move mine because I just use huge mugs. Things I don't like as much are that there is no water filter. I have very hard water in my city, which is death to coffee makers. I have an in-line water filter at my sink but I liked the additional filter on my Keurig so I didn't have to descale quite as often. There is also no option to set the brewing temperature. My husband loves very, very hot coffee so he's noticed this. What I love is that I can get a 12oz cup of coffee on the Rich setting that is wonderful and flavorful and faster that my Keurig ever did, even when it was new. I also like that it's narrower so takes up less, precious, counter space. The buttons on the top are simple to toggle through and select the setting you need. It's just a great little machine that I am using multiple times a day as there are 4 coffee drinkers in the house. I will update should it fail prematurely but so far, I think the coffee maker really suits me.

An awesome single serve brewer that is about as perfect as it gets.
You're looking for a coffee maker. Maybe a big multi-cup jobber isn't right for you, and you're trying to pick between the many options available. I too was in the same boat and after being disappointed with a recent Keurig purchase (dang chemical taste), I decided to find something that might work better for me. I will be honest that I dug out an old single serve coffee maker. Think of one of those little brewers you'd see in a cheap hotel. However, it worked, and was easy to clean with the stainless screen. I just found the flavor a bit lacking, and it didn't brew hot enough for me. I do own a couple other Ninja appliances that have worked well, so when I saw they offered a single serve coffee maker that would take normal grounds and pods, I decided to pull the trigger. The biggest plus was it has a water tank, so I can fill it with filtered water and make many cups of coffee using without having to fill it each time. I opted for the XL version to get the added water capacity. Getting into using the machine, it was easy to set up. Washed a few parts and I was off to the coffee making races. I normally brew around 12 OZ, and I use Gavina coffee. SInce it's not exactly like my other single serve brewer, I knew I'd have to tweak the amount of grounds being used. I landed on two slightly mounded tablespoons for a 12 oz brew. In terms of the build quality, I really like it. I also like that I can fit my big coffee mug without any issues. That is one big factor that can irk me, not being able to use my travel mugs. However, this machine has no problem in that area. Nothing feels cheap on this machine, and it looks nice as well. So how does it brew? Great! It gets plenty hot and brews the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. I first tried the classic mode and it was good. However, when I switched to the rich mode, wow. It really enhances the flavor of the coffee and tastes excellent. Also, unlike the Keurig brewers I've bought over the years, this one has ZERO chemical/plastic taste. Good to go. I did run about 5 cycles through the machine before using it though. This thing is awesome and I'm glad I bought it. I didn't test the frother since I normally don't froth anything, but in terms of it making a great cup of coffee, it's a winner. I also love that it saves settings in between uses. So if I dial it in for the way I like my coffee, it has the same settings the next day. SImple but many brewers do NOT offer this. In terms of critiques, I only have one. It's cleaning out the filter assembly after brewing. It has a diffuser lid and it just makes smacking the filter assembly to knock the grounds out more difficult. I wish the lid was designed differently, but it's a very minor annoyance. Besides that, this thing is a home run in my book. I hope it lasts, but I can tell you sipping on a cup of coffee I brewed with this machine, it's the best I've been able to brew from this Gavina blend. Updates: 1. The removable basket which holds the grounds has a diffuser for the hot water to distribute over the grounds. This is not just a clip on, it's a twist lock, and is a bit cumbersome if it comes loose. It fell off in the garbage can a few times until I realized you really had to push and give it a hard twist to lock it on the lid. 2. I have moved on to using disposable filters which greatly reduces cleanup time and also puts less sediment into the brewed coffee. ASIN: B0FQV6H53G 3. The brewer continues to work great. Super happy with it!

Leaks
My last coffee maker was the keurig duo. After 3 years it started making noises and brewing the wrong cup suzes. I searched every coffee maker for a replacement and found this ninja. I loved everything about it especially the ground coffee basket. It has an attached frother on one side and slide in basket on the other side which holds the ground coffee basket. The ground coffee scoop attaches to the side. It was packed in the ninja box in another. Everything was wrapped separately. It took a lot more time unpacking it than it did to set it up. I followed all the instructions step by step. It was actually quite easy. I flushed the water thru as instructed. Afterwards I put in a peets kcup hit go. It brewed the coffee which was surprisingly too hot to take more than a tiny sip. I really liked this machine and it came in moss green. I left for an hour. When i came back my counter was flooded with water. I immediately thought it was from my old keurig and i hadn't noticed it. I noticed to water tank only had a little bit of water in it. It still didn't click until i refilled the water reservoir and put it back on. Slowly water started seeping from underneath the machine. The water in the reservoir had bubbles. I immediately took the reservoir off and put it on a dry paper towel to look for a crack. There wasn't one and the water wasn't bubbling off the machine. The water was still coming from under the machine because it was already in there. I thought check with Amazon online. I put in the info and the reply was i can get a refund. I didn't want a refund i wanted to exchange it. Nope have to return to kolhs not whole foods or Amazon fresh right below me. I decided to check the instruction sheet again. Ah troubleshooting. There's a section on leaks. The very last scenario is if leak is coming from under the machine call customer service. I call and was pleasantly surprice how easy it was to get to talk to a person. Kellie was very personable. I explained the leaking from under the machine. The impression i got from her was this isn't a common problem we did a video chat she looked at the machine i showed her where the water was coming from. There are 2 empty holes on the bottom. I showed her i can stick my pen up into them. The other holes like those have a screw in them. There are also non skid dots on the corners. She had me put the reservoir with water back on. It took maybe 30 seconds and i said bubblesare starting to form which she was able to see. Luckily i had the dry paper towel where it was as the water began seeping out for her to see in real-time. I told her i thought it was coming thru the holes i could stick my pen into. I was on the phone with her for 30 minutes. Yes they would send me a new machine but even if i cut off the cord the needed this one back. They won't pick it up. I would have to take it the FedEx. There isn't a FedEx anywhere near me. There are a few UPS but it can't go there. They can't send the new until they get they get the defective one. It would a few weeks to get the new one. I thought shark/ ninja would want to look over the machine to find the defect. Then i thought why did i bother and go thru all of this when i can return it to amazon and reorder it. I wasted at least 30 minutes on the phone with shark ninja and didn't get anywhere while water was still leaking from under machine. I thought i was a doing a good thing in case other people were having the same problem. After reading many of the good reviews i decided to read the bad. I'm not the only one with a leaking machine. I packed everything up and put the machine and all parts back into the box to return to amazon. I was going to reorder one even tho they were out of the green before i got to return this one. In 2 or 3 days the price went way up. Now they have 3 different models of this machine. The one i had with the frother was 99.00. I think it's now 30.00. I can do without the frother i only cared about the ground coffee basket. I've been using my french press because i don't have a machine. I'm debating if i should order the one without the frother or buy a new keurig that comes with a basket for grounds. I gave 2 stars because i like the streamlined look of this and there's a place for everything built into the machine and the actual basket for ground coffee not a kcup looking thing.

A great single serve coffee maker for a great brew.
I bought this for Black Friday and bought it when it was selling at the lowest price offered. I do not regret buying it. It has a small footprint so it goes good on a small counter. It has an optional brew basket, which I use all the time. The K-cup adapter can be stored in place of the brew basket so it isn't having to be stored elsewhere. It just goes in a side pocket on the left hand side. The water reservoir is clear and goes in back of the unit, and will hold 56 oz. of water to allow you to make plenty of coffee for a small gathering, I personally love the ice coffee mode on the unit as it adjust the brewing process to accommodate the ice in the cup so that the coffee doesn't come out watery. There's a frother attached to it in case you want to froth your milk for coffee. It also just twist off for easy cleaning. The drip tray can be adjusted at one of four levels to raise or lower it for the size cup your using and the brewing size. I'd say that the brew basket option is the single most greatest feature of the brewer, I don't have to keep buying K-cups and generating waste.

REALLY GOOD, but Ninja people, see my notes... you need to fix one small but important thing....
How to write this review? The coffee it makes is amazing, way better than the $3x the cost Keurig that I owned. but also, there is a small problem that is potentially dangerous... and just annoying. I removed one star just because of this problem, and a little bit of other things... that said, glad I bought this, would buy it again. Well, for starters, and I guess this is the most important thing.... the coffee this makes is amazing. Even K-cups that I have been using for years with my high-end Keurig, now taste about 30% better!... there is depth to the flavor, like I can taste different parts of the coffee bean.... so this was the biggest surprise, I didn't expect the coffee to taste better, but it really, truly, does.... I just needed a replacement for my old Keurig... but now I have better coffee.. So... GENERAL IMPRESSIONS of the machine... CON- The photos in Amazon are a bit cooler than the unit in person. The photos make it look kind of European and sleek and weirdly cool in an artsy kinda way. The reality is, the coffee maker looks great, but it is muuuuch more apparent in person that they saved $ on the manufacturing of the plastics on the exterior of the machine... it looks and feels, for a lack of a better term... a little "cheap". Not showstopper kind of cheap.... but just enough that it subtly bugs me.. PRO- The coffee that comes from this machine is not only better, it is a little hotter, and a 12 oz cup fills faster than my Keurig by 2X. CON- This is a SMALL BUT SUBSTANTIAL problem that the Ninja folks need to fix.... It might sound like a nit pick... but it actually isn't, this is a small but important issue regarding the tray that the coffee cup sits on while the coffee is being brewed... That tray is made of two pieces, the plastic "body" of the tray, then the metal shelf that sits across the top of the tray (the metal tray that the coffee cup actually sits on during brewing).... The metal shelf is inset into the body by about an 1/8th of an inch. This means that there is an ⅛" high ledge around your coffee cup... you can accidentally snag the bottom of the full cup of hot coffee on the shelf it sits on, and launch hot coffee all over yourself and your counter. I know how petty this sounds, but it really is a thing. It could be that muscle memory is gonna spill my coffee, because the Keurig machines all have that top shelf sit ON TOP of the plastic body.... nothing accidentally snags the coffee cup when you are grabbing it. - The other CON is really a silly and small issue.... I kind of wish that the Ninja folks put a switch on the frother instead of a cleverly placed button. That on-off button is exactly where my big hands want to grab when removing or installing the frother head. So if I froth some milk, when I go to remove the frother to wash it, I all-too-often accidentally nudge that ON-button... which means that the frother starts spinning while Im trying to remove it, and launches all of the froth stuck in the spring, all over your coffee maker, pants, floor, and wall.

So much better than old Keurig
I do appreciate the Keurig we had for 10 years. But it was so limited compared to this Ninja, which you don't need a pod to actually make coffee...but you can also use one if you want to! Takes up less space, has better water reservoir, has nice scoop on the side, has a frother, makes way bigger cups of coffee (up to 24 oz), makes iced coffee, and is half the cosr than the new Keurigs with some similar features. I've only had it for a little while but I'm super happy with this purchase so far. I can make 2 cups of coffee at once, without any special attachments, which is huge for me since I often make coffee for my wife and I at the same time. Coffee tastes just as good or better than Keurig. Overall, I definitely recommend. Can't think of anything I don't like about it, hope it holds up! (And now breathing a sign of relief that I'll never see that dreaded "this pod is not designed for this machine" message ever again!!!)

Tadry rich coffee
I use it with the coffee grounds - it brews nice rich saturated coffee. In my opinion much tastier than any k-pod coffee maker of a comparable compact size. The stone color looks pretty too.

The machine is lovely but in Britain beware.
The coffee machine is very good but beware in Britain the voltage for the machine is 120 volts and in Britain we are 240 volt. To return the machine is very costly, the cost of sending mine back was around £60. Amazon don't want to know about returning the machine, they just send you a label to print off and that's it. I can't understand why Amazon sell items on the market place that don't comply with British voltage.
