i have the 160w version on my larger viv and that is a great bulb the light is very bright and more of a cool white color. but the 100w version that i just purchased for my 4ft viv is the same dull nearly orange color. not really a big deal but just wanted to let you know the difference. the 100w performs great and my tems for my uromastyx are spot on. its great knowing that my animals are getting UVB as well as heat. also this has a 12 month warranty so i can feel confidant that this is replaceable should it die whiles in service in that time frame. you may find that your standard bulb cage will not fit as this bulb is big in size almost 2.5 times bigger then the normal ones. no bid deal for me as my lizards cant reach it. but just in case you have decorations that your lizard can reach the bulb you may have to look in to getting a bigger cage guard.

We’ve used this light on our Tort since it was a baby and it’s been great has provided a good temperature and light for her enclosure, our torts shell has grown very healthy and believe that partly due to the quality of the like, in regards to performance and durability.. this light is very very fragile we’ve gone through 5 in 2 years due to the light becoming defective, noticed one time when the fort was banging on the enclosure each hit would flicker the light and make it let off a static sound we had ones that have become too hot and others that the light itself which is hidden by the silver rim has fallen below which meant that the bright light was Visible to people who looked at the enclosure, I’d give 5 starts if the longevity and durability was better

My first bulb blew after about 6 months but I contacted Arcadia and the bulbs actually have a one year warranty, they sent me a new bulb and it’s been going strong for over a year now! Because this is a basking light and uv rolled into one it saves be from buy the tubes which need replacing after 6 months and the awful magnetic ballasts which hum and buzz. Highly recommended! Just remember this will not last forever and no not use a thermostat! Regulate the temperature by adjusting the hight of the bulb and air vents. If your dragon does not spend a lot of time under the basking area then you will need an additional uv light running the length of the viv. Fortunately for me my dragon loves the heat!!
