Flair Bridge Networking Device

While i returned this bridge because they had a better price on their website; I recently upgraded my home with the Flair air conditioning vent system from Flair, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. The installation was surprisingly straightforward, fitting seamlessly into my existing setup without the need for any complex tools or professional help. The smart vents intelligently manage the airflow, ensuring that every room maintains the perfect temperature, eliminating those annoying hot and cold spots we used to deal with. I have 6 Flair vents in the basement, and was using a Puc for their connectivity. Several of the vents were always indicating 'poor network connection' and missed performing their open/close actions. Decided to bite the bullet and order the bridge and everything is working great now. It's easy to setup and really makes a difference in the connectivity of your system. I haven't tried expanding our Flair vents to the main level yet, maybe an update to this when that happens.

Updated 8/9/25: Received a replacement through Amazon. This one actually works like it should. Detects and maintains communication with the vents. I have no idea what was wrong with the original device; there was no obvious signs of damage or loose connections. -------------------- Original review: Junk. I don't know if the pucks work any better but this thing is garbage. It cannot detect or communicate with a vent unless it's literally within 5 ft. It's sitting on the floor with line-of-sight visibility through air (no walls in the way) to two smart vents that can't be more than 15ft away and it constantly loses connection to both of them.

I waited way too long to purchase my Flair vent system as I was leaning towards a zoned duct control system instead. The costs would have been significantly higher (up to 5 times more in parts alone) but also the install would have been a major pain for me to DIY. The Flair vents were easy to install, the app setup was straightforward with the light layout on the vents used to identify which ones were for which rooms. I love that I can set the schedule to deactivate rooms when they are not in use and have it regulate the temperature in the active ones during those days/times. I did mess up a setting by changing the Default Hold Duration setting to forever (supposed to be the default option Until Next Scheduled Event) which caused my schedule not to work but Flair support got this identified and resolved quickly. I now have everything how I want it and the room leveling is perfect (was up to 5-6 degrees difference in some rooms). It is also awesome to be able to change the temperature on-demand in the rooms when needed. So far I am very happy with my purchase, but wish I had done this sooner.

Works as expected. Zero issues setting this up and using it as designed.

So I'll preface this by saying I tried the Android and Web apps for setup - I don't have an iOS device so couldn't try that But this device is AWFUL! I will admit I saw poor reviews on some of the Flair products, and I assumed it was just user error. I mean, how bad can it be? I've been using smart devices for years, and have a few dozen different companies, and I've always gotten them to work pretty quickly. This was different I tried to set up my device to connect to my wifi - because I've seen many other similar companies that have very sketchy security. So I don't need this device on my main network. But once I tried to set up Wi-Fi, it became AWFUL. The app was able to connect to the device as expected, and then it connected to the Wi-Fi... And then failed to connect to Flair servers. I got to this point twice Now if this was the whole problem, it might just be me. Maybe I'm just being dumb, and I could still just assume it didn't work for ME. But that's not it. Over the time I tried to set up the device, to get through this process of connect to local device -> connect device to Wi-Fi - let device talk to the company servers I had to restart the process OVER TEN TIMES. Changing apps caused the process to break which, fine, not great user experience but I can live with it. But it would for NO REASON have steps fail. Or just randomly go back to the start of the process and need you to reset the device and restart. TEN TIMES Now I consider myself pretty good with technology - I mean, working with smart tech is what I've done for my JOB. And I've worked with development versions of apps that worked better than the Flair app. It's unusable

Work like a charm. My Wi-Fi was not stable for a gateway Puck. After installing the bridge, everything has been very stable. I highly recommend the bridge

If you have a large heat pump that you would like to use 3 to 5 smart thermostats, install yourself, and be able to control each unit in your home while you’re away, this is the best option without spending over a thousand dollars with an HVAC company. The small pucks work wirelessly with this router. If you use the pucks without the router, they must be plugged in. I prefer the router because it gives the puck the classic, modernized, thermostat look. I currently have 3 of my 5 ductless units hooked up to these smart thermostat pucks. They work flawlessly. The app works well. You are able to program each puck to work the way you want the ductless units to work throughout the day and night.
