Mine just arrived today but I cannot get the light or alarm to work!

This is a good cane. The flashlight works nice. There is a safety siren.The buttons on the side of it.Just remember not to bump it.All you gotta do it press it again and it'll stop. The button on the top is for the flashlight. It's not intensely bright , which I like the way it is. It's fairly bright , I would say it's at the level where at night , you realize you can see the ground now. But not like it's not like a bright helicopter light. It puts darkness into a normal lighting level. I do. Security at night and I have a lot of trouble walking, so I'd like to be able to turn on A-Lite.That not everybody sees for a quarter mile.

This cane is pretty good. I purchased three of these for some elderly people at my church because I wanted them to have the flashlight feature for added safety when they're walking at night time. They all really like the cane, and they like the flashlight and handle that assists them when they stand up. They also like the siren on the cane in case they have a problem, fall, or something of that sort. The only thing I noticed about the cane is that it's not really all that stuff or strong. It certainly does not have a very confidence building strength feel to it. I would just say it's good for the price, but you are getting what you pay for sturdiness wise.
