Fantastic phone for the price
First of all, set your expectations - it's a $200 unlocked phone, something that obviously isn't meant to top the charts in benchmarks or handle heavy 3D editing on the go. What's in the box: the phone, charger, USB-A to USB-C cable, and a clear protective bumper. The charger isn't anything to write home about, same with the cable, but the free bumper is pretty great. It has a raised area around the camera lenses to that if you lay the phone down they won't make contact with the surface. It doesn't come installed with the default Google launcher, instead it has the DD launcher, Microsoft launcher, and easy launcher. Of these, the DD launcher is the closest to the regular Google one. Performance is pretty good, more than enough for YouTube, Facebook, discord, and some light gaming. It's a dual sim phone so for you business types, this can work out for you perfectly. All in all it's a great looking, well performing unlocked phone with a 90hz display that'll work well for anybody

UMIDIGI G6 5G is gorgeous phone - but NFC BIG FAIL & NOT WORK
This UMIDIGI G6 5G phone is nice powerful bargain budget android phone. Bought this phone for sale on amazon prime day for like one hundred sixty bucks + tax. I have had other umidigi phones recently & in the past -- and this new UMIDIGI G6 5G is a very nice basic android phone which surprisingly includes NFC for use with google pay for paying when shopping at your local stores. You usually do not find NFC on budget phones priced this low -- therefore this is a [...] phone [to consider] if you want a budget android phone [....]. [EDIT: NFC / Google Pay Not Working: Google Pay (Google Wallet) apparently is suppose to works differently under Android 13 on this phone. Have to open up the Google Wallet app first & verify and then do tap to pay. I looked in the settings app for Contactless Payments and see its default payment app is Google Pay (aka GPay) -- but Google has replaced GPay with Google Wallet. Settings indicate NFC contactless tap-to-pay payments should work if another payment app (e.g. Google Wallet) is open. YET that still does not work if I have the Google Wallet app open & if I did the verify before tap-to-pay. "Unrecognized application" is what the store's sales register card reader terminal tells me. Happened at two different stores. Will try again but I'm guessing this is an Android 13 problem???] [Another EDIT: re: NFC/GooglePay: Now a couple weeks later. Tried clearing cache & storage data for both the NFC SERVICE & the GOOGLE WALLET app on this phone to see if that would help. BUT this phone's NFC failed yet again at my local cvs store's payment terminal station stating: CARD NOT ACCEPTED - USE CHIP READER. This is a beautiful phone -- BUT the NFC is failing. Disappointed. Oh, related to this, I just received an email from Google about needing to pre-verify as discussed above -- BUT I'm wondering maybe google ruined NFC non-contact tap-to-pay for everyone's android phones. OR maybe UMIDIGI really needs to come out with a NEW android update to fix this issue. Good thing I also use iPhone where Apple Pay NFC always works.] [One More EDIT: NFC/GooglePay: 2024.08.20: Recent posts on Reddit and Google Support Forums indicate the non-working NFC with Google Wallet (Google Pay) is affecting many different phones (looks like this problem started in July 2024??? and affected the UMIDIGI G6 5G as this phone was going on sale for first time) that Google is aware of problem & working on it -- BUT apparently also requires android phone manufacturers to RECERTIFY their phones. That means: recertification must be done by UMIDIGI with Google to get this UMIDIGI G6 5S phone to actually work with NFC using googlepay/googlewallet.] This is a good phone that is very much comparable in size to the more expensive phones like the iPhone Pro Max. Bought the blue glacier version of this umidigi phone which looks very nice & is kinda metallic-like looking to make this phone seem more expensive than it really is. The "dynamic eye" for the front facing camera does look like the "dynamic island" on an iPhone -- and the default launcher layout with four-app-icons-per-row also helps to present a similar iPhone homescreen look-and-feel to this android phone. However this is definitely an android phone with Android 13 installed on it -- and I would guess/assume this phone may eventually be upgraded to Android 14 -- and this phone has 6GB RAM (plus an additional 6GB virtual RAM if needed) + 128GB storage rom. And you can insert a microsd card to further expand the storage. The phone works for calls, texts, data with a 5G connection using my TELLO sim card. Wi-Fi also works. All of the usual google android apps install on this phone via the included GOOGLE PLAY STORE for installing & updating your apps. There is also a different APP STORE MARKET app on this phone for installing more apps as well as updating some default apps on this phone. Oh what did not work for me was transferring data from my other android phone via usb cable to this phone -- because the transfer connection kept failing telling me to reconnect the usb cable -- had to give up on that and instead start this new phone as a clean new installation/setup which is fine with me. Anyways really recommend that you consider this UMIDIGI G6 5G phone as a worthwhile purchase if you are looking to get a good quality android 5G phone [...] at a bargain budget price. Thanks AMAZON & UMIDIGI. P.S. FYI, regarding the Hot Key (aka Smart Key or Shortcut Key) which is the button in the middle on the left side of the phone, I downloaded the BUTTON MAPPER app from the Google Play Store to program that button with the following functions: (1) Long Press to make a screenshot; (2) Double Tap to go back to the homescreen; (3) Single Tap to show recents of apps that are still open. Press Add Buttons and the left-side hotkey button will show up as F1 131. Oh, if you want the hotkey to open the camera, you have pay extra & that requires connecting to a computer for advanced setup. P.S.S. I've since installed Nova Launcher to replace the default DDU Launcher. Also installed Nova Google Companion. But to make nova more stable -- because nova would annoyingly freeze every so often on this phone -- I set both Nova Launcher & Nova Google Companion to stay turned on in background in the Duraspeed settings in android settings -- and I also set Nova Google Companion to unrestricted battery usage in android settings. P.S.S.S. One last note: This is a beautiful phone -- very apple-like & very iphone-ish but android at a bargain budget price -- my main phone is an iPhone 13 Pro Max but I wanted to upgrade my android phone without spending too much. This phone fits the bill except the NFC is currently a BIG FAIL -- I'm hoping maybe a possible please-please-please new upcoming umidigi android update will eventually fix the NFC issue. There are a few other gotchas with this phone that I want to specifically point out: (1) the infrared nighttime vision only appears to work with the regular camera (click the crescent moon icon lower left in camera app) and not with the selfie camera (no crescent moon icon when switch to selfie???) although the two selfie cams in the dynamic eye on the screen must probably mean one selfie cam should be an infrared nightvision cam (???) -- maybe a future umidigi android update will fix that; and (2) the default DDU Launcher is kinda iphone-like but cannot be customized with persistent custom icons that can survive reboots -- have to use a different launcher like the aforemented Nova Launcher but you have to tweak the nova setup to keep it stable -- in other words if you like customize your android, this umidigi will require your patience & experimentation to tweak any annoyances; and (3) RCS messaging for texting does actually work BUT you have to clear the cache & storage data in the android settings for the Messages app to clear the RCS settings. Otherwise if you are not an android phone nerd but you only need the basics as-is without any customization nor any tweaking on your phone, then you may be satisfied with this phone. Thanks for reading. Enjoy your UMIDIGI G6 5G if you get this phone.

Affordable low-quality phone
Note: If you are having trouble connecting to your phone service, go into settings and disable the SIM card slot, and then enable it. This has to be done for me every time I reboot the phone. Pros: Low Price Video quality isn't bad and plays games surprisingly well Mid: Battery life is give or take, sometimes it drains quite fast as I spent 20% just doing the initial setup. With LIGHT use you may get 3 days out of it, maybe more. Heavy use with higher screen brightness won't last a full day. Cons: Bloatware Camera isn't great, as any zooming will distort heavily Have to reset SIM every time phone is powered on to connect with provider Takes at least 3 hours for a full charge The longer I use this, the more I dislike it. I'm at the point where I'm wondering if my camera is actually not functioning properly, or they are flat out misrepresenting it. Taking any picture and enlarging it makes it distorted. Also, I'm completely unable to send or receive any images or other MMS text messages.

Top notch value
I decided to purchase this phone for my younger sibling to introduced them to a mobile device that is inexpensive and could be replaced if broken and this once has exceeded my expectations a bit. It’s definitely a phone to be used for light things like listening to music or streaming videos or just like gaming. Nothing too heavy. The battery life is all right it’ll get you through the day but if you do make the phone work throughout the day, then you will have to charge it. Overall the capacity and the quality of cameras are all decent and I would purchase again if broken. I also have one of their tablets, but I feel like this phone is much faster and easier to use. If you need something quick that has 5G or just for Internet or even just a control this can definitely be a go to phone and did I mention it comes with a case and screen protector!

Great inexpensive 5G android phone
Works great on T-Mobile has all the T-Mobile bands both 4G and 5G except for the millimeter wave ones which are rare to have on phones- 245-12 66 and 71 for 4G, and the main 5G band said TMobile uses is 41 and 71 and of course it has all the 3G bands which are rare anymore there are no connection issues and it's very fast even though it's submitted level processor the battery lasts a long time I can't say that it's great on gaming cuz I don't game but it does everything you would want to do otherwise with very little if any lag

Telefono nettamente APPROVATO.

I needed a backup phone on a budget so I grabbed this model - was not disappointed. This phone comes with a slim fit protective case for free. Once you put the case on, the first thing you will notice is how comfortable the phone feels in your hand. It is lightweight and easy to handle for hours at a time. It's a 5G phone with Dual Sim, which not a lot of phones in Canada have. While dual sim is not useful in 2024 compared to earlier days with the popularity of e-Sims, it is still a neat option to have when travelling. The phone handles and processes very quickly without any lag, thanks to its built-in 6G of RAM and running the latest Android 13. The internal storage is 128 GB, but the great thing is it allows expansion so I have ordered a 256 GB microSD to add it to the phone. I tested the NFC payment option and it works as advertised. The main camera is 50 MP and creates sharp images at high quality. Night vision camera mode worked well when I tested it, although I am not experienced in night vision camera work. Now, let me get to the best part - while the phone itself is ultra slim, it comes powered with a 5000 maH battery. Given the power of the battery, the phone enjoys a very long-lasting battery life which I have really appreciated running multiple apps open and videos. The phone also stays very cool throughout heavy usage, which is markedly different versus my experience with the Pixel 7 previously with heating issues. So overall, for the price paid, this budget phone delivers excellent value for a slim design, no overheating issues, and long battery life.

The Umidigi G6 5G is a nice upgrade for a family member in our household, offering a blend of affordability and functionality with 5G connectivity. The design is sleek and modern, featuring a sturdy build that feels reassuring in hand. The 6.5-inch Full HD+ display provides vibrant colors and decent brightness levels, making it suitable for multimedia consumption and casual gaming. The 90Hz refresh rate helps video and games look smooth. Like other Umidigi phones I've purchased, a case is included and screen protector is already applied. No need to go shopping for these items. Performance-wise, the Umidigi G6 5G is powered by a capable MediaTek Dimensity processor paired with 6gigs of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsive performance. It handles everyday tasks and moderate gaming with ease. One of the features is its 5G capability, which I cannot comment on until upgrading my plan. The Wi-Fi connectivity is a a higher rate than another Umidigi phone, which is an improvement. 6g hBattery life is great thanks to a large capacity battery, easily lasting through a full day of moderate usage. In terms of cameras, the Umidigi G6 5G offers a versatile setup with a triple camera system on the rear, including a main sensor, ultra-wide lens, and depth sensor. While it captures decent photos in good lighting conditions, low-light photos are good for this price point. An interesting photo feature is an infrared camera, which I have not seen on other phones I've owned. Interesting way to get a photo in very low, or total darkness. Software-wise, the device runs on Android 13 with Umidigi's UI skin, providing a clean interface and essential customization options. Overall, the Umidigi G6 5G impresses with its 5G capability, solid performance, and attractive design at an affordable price point. It's a great option for consumers looking to experience 5G without breaking the bank. Looking forward to discovering more features with this phone.
