I’m really impressed with this filter! It has great water flow and does an excellent job keeping my aquarium water clean and clear. It was easy to set up, runs quietly, and the 400 GPH flow provides plenty of circulation for my tank. The UV feature is a great bonus and gives me extra peace of mind when it comes to maintaining clear, healthy-looking water. Overall, it feels well-made and performs exactly as I hoped. Definitely a great value for the price, and I would recommend it to other aquarium keepers! 🐠💧

8/7/26 update: Pump finally failed after about 15 months of using it around 10 hours a day (6am to 4pm). UV bulb and filter still good, so I just ordered a whole new assembly to replace the pump. Now I have a spare bulb and filter! This filter has been great at controlling the algae growth. I definitely recommend this for use. Would be great if you could just purchase a replacement pump head. I wanted to wait and see how effective this UV filter was before writing a review. My 10 gallon aquarium always had a very bad problem with algae growth. I could clean it, replace the water but the algae would come back in about 2 weeks just as bad as before. I even had a UV bulb that I had placed in my regular TopFin filter but it didn't seem to work at all. I purchased the TARRARIUM CTUV-H4F (for 10-45 Gallon) UV filter back in April. I put it in and left it on 24/7 for about 2 weeks until I couldn't see any algae in the aquarium at all. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that it's been about 2-1/2 months and I haven't had to turn on the filter again. It's still in the aquarium (just in case), but I'm shocked at how well it worked. The internal foam filter was actually still clean after use. I recommend using this along with a regular aquarium filter. I would highly recommend this UV filter to anyone who has algae problems. I wish I had a before and after picture to show the results, but believe me, it really worked that great! It was really worth the price and now I can spend more time enjoying looking at the aquarium instead of cleaning it.

I am a first time fish owner, and I had an algae bloom. I used this product and in two days the water became clear and within one week it was very clear. The pump and the UV light are controlled separately. You can control the pressure of the air, which is good. The noise is pretty silent. I use a clarifier covered my tank with a black sheet since the sun shine on it.

It was great while it lasted but it died after only 7 months. I cleaned it regularly and so I’m not sure if I just got a lemon or what but when it did work it was fantastic the suction cups were fabulous it wasn’t noisy I loved the price range for what it did HOWEVER the longevity was not there it did clean the tank very well and very fast which my fish appreciated it was a little bulky size wise but that meant it could have a bigger better sponge area so not upset really and very plug and go easy to use.

This pump is a big larger than expected and barely fits into my small 10 gallon tank at an angle. It has to be completely submerged under the water or it will not work at all. Also the cord lengths are very short compared to my other cords (thermometer and led lamp) and there are two cords (the UV light and the pump itself). I was just expecting one plug. The flow is a little strong for my smaller fish and makes them swim backwards when resting but they don't seem to mind. And the sound is very quiet which is super nice. Overall, it really worked to get rid of my algae problem when nothing else did (including multiple water changes and algae water treatment drops). After 7 days my tank was no longer green but still a little cloudy. No change from day 7 onward (at about 3 weeks now). Overall I am happy it worked! Just wish the cord was longer and the size was a little smaller for my tank. Attached before and after photos.

This UV filter has been a great addition to my aquarium setup. Installation was quick and straightforward, and it started working immediately. Before adding driftwood to the tank, the water was crystal clear and looked like glass. I currently have natural wood in the aquarium, so there is some visible tint from tannins, but that’s coming from the driftwood—not the filter. Even with the tannins present, the water remains clean, healthy, and free of cloudiness. The unit is compact, doesn’t take up much space, and the suction cups hold it securely in place. Water flow is consistent, and the UV sterilization helps reduce green water and other common water clarity issues without requiring constant maintenance.

It’s a great filter in combination with a UV light, good size so its no invasive in the aquarium

Does not seem effective in saltwater for clearing dinos. The pump only has one speed which might be too fast to effectively sterilize the water. I let it run non stop for two months to no effect before the UV bulb burnt out. For the price I guess it's expected.

Seller is selling 110v filter which is wrong to sell in India, This information is not provided hence I ended up in purchasing this filter and it got damaged in 2 hours as in India we use 240v filter and not 110v And there is no response from sell as after submitting return. I lost my money in this purchase.
