If you are looking for a product that does as advertised, then a this massage tool will be the item to purchase for yourself, your family or your friends. There are not enough words to describe just how outstanding this well engineered product does for those irritating muscular knots that just don’t go away. Say goodbye to those nasty knots once and for all once you use this device. Made out of a very strong carbon steel with rubber hand grips that feel superb when in the grasp. The tool is perfectly sized, so it’s easy to move to various points on the body. It is not cumbersome at all. The massager is designed so well in terms of being angled to make moving the massager easy. The beauty of this product is it has a pivotal ball joint that fits into a a flat rubber wall non-slip wall support brace where one can lean their back on the massage head to get more pressure on the knot. There’s also a great booklet that comes with it, that talks about all the ways one can use the massager. It can be used on the hips, neck, back etc etc… Believe me you will not be disappointed with this product once purchased. I highly recommend it for anyone who has extreme tightness in their necks and shoulders, and who deal with the burden of those pesky knots. This is the knot terminator, believe me!!! Takes like 2 minutes to assemble. So easy!!!

I'm no stranger to the massage product world I've got massage canes, rollers, balls, wands, picks, and straps.. I've tried a lot of different devices in attempts to find relief from tension and the one thing thats counterproductive to relaxation is putting excessive effort forth, right? Well THAT'S where these guys got it right... What sets this device apart from the others is that little pad on the backside that allows you to position yourself up against a wall (or floor, counter, etc.) and all you have to do is lean your body weight into the massager to get the pressure necessary to relieve knots, easy as that! It's a super effective way to find relief. It even works for those difficult spots with the strongest muscles like glutes, or hips!! The option to change tips from hard to soft is a nice addition, I don't think you can ask more from such an affordable drive. I recommend this to anyone who has a tough time dealing with tension in the body.

As a professional orthopedic massage specialist I'm often on the look out for new devices that appear effective to audition them for my clients, and this device did not disappoint. It actually delivers on several needs that were not being met by similar devices. There will be a learning curve with the use of any device like this one, and professionally I'll encourage you that pressure is not so much the goal as communication, but in times when specific, sustained pressure is needed in some hard to reach spots this device is built strong enough and with the leverage you need. You'll want to experiment but firm backed couches or chairs make a great fulcrum support to lean into as well as walls, though you may want to pick a heavy door frame due to the size and focused pressure of the base on soft drywall. The base also seems to pop off occasionally, but mostly when I'm being a bit aggressive and at odd angles. I truly give the designer props for bringing to market a well built, well priced and actually functional massage tool that I can recommend. Most are just expensive and gimmicky trash.

I hadn't been impressed with the common cane-style massager, as I spent far more time trying to figure out how to hold, angle, and leverage it to properly reach any particular spot, than effectively massaging anything. For a moment, I considered building my own massager, and had a good idea of what I really wanted. But before I went to my shop and started, I searched one more time, to see if there were any other options I missed. And that's when I finally found THIS massager. Which very much resembled what I was thinking of building. Of course, I immediately ordered it. I'm happy to say it's been everything I hoped for. This is so much more intuitive to use. And it's easy to apply as much pressure as you need, not just due to the stable double-handed grip, but the swiveling pad in back - which allows you push up against a wall for additional force. It seems well built, and I feel no need to treat it gently for fear of breaking it. It has a choice of two interchangeable tool tips, one hard and one softer. Both are the same shape, and quite narrow; well suited for small knots and pressure points. But I would also like to have a wider, softer tip for applying a softer pressure to larger areas. I may build one myself. It looks like the tips attach using a 5/16"-18 thread, I'll post an update if and when I verify this. (EDIT: The proper connector turned out to be a female M8, with the usual 1.25mm thread spacing.)

For me the top two muscle canes are back buddy and muscle hook. Muscle hook has zero give (it doesn't bend at all) so all the pressure goes to your back, but it has blunt ends, it doesn't have an 'acorn' point. Back buddy bends a little, but it has an acorn point. This device has best of both worlds. Doesn't bend, and has the acorn attachment. Not only that, you can get way more specific about the movement and angle from the way you handle the device. Not only that, but you apply much more pressure with less effort thanks to the two hand system. There is also a flat end at the other side of the pressure end, which you can use to press against a wall for even more pressure, but I haven't done that much, I can get enough with just using my hands. Also, using the wall kinda dampens the specificity in movement/angle. I don't use my muscle hook or back buddy anymore, this is my go to. Another comparable products are the spike balls sold by rumble roller, the soft version and the hard version. I think with the hard version, you could get more pressure because it's your body against the floor, but you don't have much specificity in movement. Besides the self massage device I designed myself, I use this device the most for self message, with a rumble roller knockoff in 3rd (i have the original rumble roller firm, but there is an al iexpress knockoff which is actually more firm, so I use that instead). Kudos to the designer. As someone who prototypes self message device as well, I can only imagine the fun and fulfillment that went into making this.

Before buying this, I had tried almost everything to treat my muscle pain, including lacrosse balls and various other tools, but nothing quite hit the spot. I was actually considering buying a Thera Cane, but this product caught my eye because it looked much more stable and robust, especially being made of metal. I do not regret my choice at all. This was the only product that managed to fix the extremely tight contractures I had in my trapezius muscles. The metal construction means there is no flexing, allowing me to apply the exact amount of pressure needed. It let me reach angles and trigger points that no other tool could touch. I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. I recommend it to everyone who comes to my house complaining of knots or muscle pain. In fact, it's been so effective that I barely use it anymore because it successfully resolved my chronic issues and keeps my traps in check. Another huge plus is its versatility. I love that I can use it against a wall (without the handles) to target other areas, for example, it works wonders for releasing tight lats (dorsals). In my opinion, this is vastly superior to the Thera Cane or any plastic alternative. Highly recommended!

I was recommended to buy a cheaper product by my Remedial Massage Therapist but am so happy to have ordered this particular Trigger Point Massage tool. Very sturdy and easy to assemble. It helps my very tight knots in my Neck, Shoulders and Hip.
