Oklahoma!: Vocal Selections - Revised Edition

Relatively easy to play - with a little more practice!! Good size of staves and notes. The only difficulty is keeping the page open but that happens with a lot of music. Really enjoying playing the pieces.

A rather typical 'edited' and 'arranged' collection. Over simplified harmonic content which falls vastly short of the original scores and beautiful songs. In their attempt to make these editions 'easy' this sort of publication is massively disappointing particularly as the 'edits' or 'arrangements' do not actually make things 'easier'P.Winterton

Enjoying laying from this score

Purchased for my mother, a pianist. She plays and we sing together. Lyrics included on all songs, and the book includes the favorite songs from the movie. We love it!

This music selection is everything you would want. I have to say that it was Oh Such a Beautiful Morning on the day it arrived when I could sit down at the piano and play: Many a New Day, Out of My Dreams, Oklahoma, People Will Say We're in Love, Kansas City, and all the others that made the musical, Oklahoma, such a great production. Buy the score now and you won't be disappointed.

This is a re-issue of the original vocal selections sheet music. Most of the songs are in the original key and are reduced from the full score. It's a great addition to any musician interested in Broadway scores. More serious musicians should explore the full score if you can find a copy. Difficulty level: medium difficulty. "Surrey With the Fringe" is about the most challenging...needing a careful fingering.
