Our herd of guinea pigs loves these. They are easy to clean and move around. The girls love to hide in them. They are a great size, have no bad odor, and have remained sturdy and durable over time.

My family added 2 winter white dwarf hamsters to our family in the last week. We adopted the last 2 renaming hamsters at our local pet store but their shelves were pretty bare aside from cages. So I turned to Amazon to help me out. I purchased the itty bitty igloo for my hamster. I've used these igloos through the years with many pets, guinea pigs and bunnies in addition to hamsters so I knew what to expect. The itty bitty is perfect goot a dwarf hamster or a smaller hamster that just likes tiny spaces. It's constructed of plastic but the slightly flexible kind that can take being dropped without cracking/ shattering. It's washable, though I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe. It is NOT chew proof and honestly I'm ok with that, the little critters that use these are chewers by nature since their teeth never stop growing. You can offer up alternarives but at the end of the day cannot control what they chew on. My itty bitty igloo arrived earlier than expected, woohoo!! The price was decent, comparable if not slightly cheaper than the pet store but I can't be sure. My hamster's cage is blue and green tones. I was hoping for a pink igloo because it's a girl and a pop of pink is nice. There's no picking color which I knew and was just happy to have an igloo. My family took guesses as to what color it would be. Bf said green. Daughter said blue or green. I hoped for pink but was tickled that it was PURPLE, my favorite color. I'm happy with it. There are no sharp or rough edges. It arrived fully in tact, clean and ready to be used!!

I only gave it four stars but it deserves five, online it said large and I bought it for one hamster, it's kind of small for him, it should have said medium a large would fit a dwarf better and maybe xl for my teddy bear short hair. I just was trying to make sure I didn't go to big and he'd use the top to get out, my cage is kind of rigged for a top and not the best so that was the concern. Other than that mine came clear green with metallic flakes. I don't know how much my nocturnal animal likes that, but at least I can see him now while he sleeps. He uses it just fine so I guess no big deal. This product is for sale at PetSmart where I got my hamster a few days ago and I think their a few bucks cheaper and have choice of colors and you can see sizes. So keep that in mind, otherwise mine arrived in two days with prime shipping and I'm pleased with it. Beware these are chewable and a lot of the hamsters in the store have shredded these, mostly the entances. I just looked and it says mini igloo, so it might have been my fault, I though I bought a large, but it says when I just checked large is for rabbits. I don't know why this thing gets negative reviews, it's bright, clean, friendly, modern, unique, works, animal enjoys it, and reasonably prices even if a new one is needed annualy. Sticker came off easily and didn't peel apart or leave residue. So check the pic and that's it for me.

I really wish this was sold in either purple or pink outright. The pick out of a hat randomness kind of sucks… with me hoping for a pink one. But the affordable and sturdy material override the rest. Very spacious and holds up well to being exposed to constant heat from my heat lamp right above it.

I like the Igloo and really wish my rabbit did too but my Holland Lop isn't interested... so far. I haven't had it more than a week but so far he will not go in it. He went in it one time out of curiosity but after that he will not go in it. I thought maybe it was because he was use to going in a very dark cardboard box so I made a no-sew fleece cover that slides down over the top of it to make it dark and that has not helped at all. He still will not go in it. As soon as I put his box back in his cage, he goes right in the box and lays down. I have taken his box out and i'm going to give him till the end of the week to get use to this Igloo. I hope he starts using it soon. UPDATE 7/14/15: My bun is happy with his Igloo now. Most of the time I find him sleeping on top of this igloo instead of inside it. And even when he does sleep in it, he isn't fully in it. He goes in, turns around and lays half outside of it. BUT, at least he is using it now so I didn't waste my money after all. I don't think he likes how bright it is inside because without the cover I made, it is a huge "glow dome" during the day. I think the fleece cover I made helps block out all that light and I am sure it has to feel more "natural" to him. Plus is provides him some cushion when laying on top of it. Anyways, he likes it now so I like it too.

Si tienes un hámster sirio, este es el que debes adquirir. Casi compro el más pequeño, que es para hámster ruso, pero este es perfecto. Cupo muy bien dentro de la jaula. El animalito de inmediato ingresó sin problemas. Me llegó el color azul.

Realmente é grande para meu porquinho da india, mas é bom pq não vai ficar abafado. Ele gostou bastante.

I love this Hideout, it’s nice and big and my guinea pigs love it, wish you could pick the Color though. I like how it’s see through so that I can see my guinea pig in it. At first I didn’t think they would like that’s it see through but they don’t seem to mind one bit.

This product is perfect for the job. I bought this for my APH and she loves this. Practically, it is so easy to clean. Despite the transparency of the plastic, it is not too thin and is still very sturdy. My hedgy feels secure in there and it is small enough for her to snuggle into, but large enough to give her plenty of freedom of movement. She is unaware that I can still see her inside so I can keep a good watchful eye on her without her feeling that her privacy is being invaded.
