My 5 yr. old grandson loved the book. It is so very clever treating " books" like pets. The illustrations are beautiful. It is sure to become one of his very favorite books!

Great book. Love the rhyme - I mean he rhymes "charity" for goodness sakes. My kids really like it. A very fun story! As a book lover, how can you not love the idea of a pet book.

Great story and illustrations
My kids adore this book. We first checked it out from the library and ended up having to buy it because my kids always asked for it. The story and illustrations are great!

We love all of the Bob Staake books
We love all of the Bob Staake books, especially The Donut Chef and The Red Lemon. This newest one is another great original story with fantastic artwork. We read all of Bob Staake's books over and over and over again!

A Frisky Red Hardcover!!!
brilliant book for all book loving little ones. It rhymes beautifully and races along. The illustrations are a delight and compelling for all ages.
