Everything I needed to DIY maintenance for my B&S 12KW standby generator, which also included the gapping tool for the spark plug which was helpful since my old did not have the needed .020 inch measurement. It takes perhaps an hour to DIY but will easily save you a couple hundred dollars and peace of mind knowing you can keep your generator running like new.

I used this to tune up my Briggs & Stratton standby generator. Everything fits and it's running well. Would buy it again The generator did have one of those green foam covers around the filter that fell apart. I just installed without it but you might want one of those too.

Great OEM replacement tune up but very very high priced

Has everything you need. Maybe more than you need because my 12kw generator didn’t need as much oil as this kit came with. So make sure you leave a few ounces in the jug and check the oil level. Also, my generator didn’t come with a prefilter. I wouldn’t add it even if this kit came with one. I don’t think it’s necessary. Let your generator engine breathe!

The tune up kit was fine. Although at the time I purchased it. It said it came with the foam pre-filter but then did not show up with one like some other people have previously said in their reviews.

I have a whole house generator and each year I buy my supplies from Briggs and Stratton. A mechanic will charge $300 to change out the old oil and filter. For me it costs $50.00 in supplies and I save $250.00. That price I save and keep in my pocket. The job is easy to do when you know what has to be done.

Worked very well for an extended period. Six days during one emergency Needed a valve adjustment after 290 house of operation. Would recommend to others.
