Eagles Nest Outfitters ENO Pro Fly Rain Tarp

Superb little bit of kit. Easy rigging and exactly the right size for the Eno tarps. Can be rigged low in the case of adverse weather or rigged high if you just need shade or protection from the above trees/animals ! I have used several other tarps and always been frustrated trying to get them to lie taught. This one, although being smaller, sinches down in a very satisfying way. Only 5 stars......off to buy another for my other Eno hammock

I've used a handful of backpacking tarps now, and the Eagle's Nest pro fly is probably the easiest I've used so far.My favorite feature of the tarp is, aside from its light weight, the guy lines on all corners. They each have a cool little plastic holder thing that makes it really easy to adjust your tarp lines once it's set up. This can help you get a really taught tarp and line set up, which makes it easier to avoid problems with wind, weather, etc.The shape and weight of the tarp is ideal, and when I use this along with my hammock, it's a super lightweight setup that saves plenty of pounds. It's length and width are good and I've never had a problem with it breaking down in weather, and it's been through a few rough storms.Great quality, good function, really enjoy using this tarp.

I used the ENO tarp for the first time on a hike in the Ouachita National Forest. Usually I wouldn't plan on bringing a tarp for a day hike, but because it's so lightweight it was an easy addition. About halfway into our 8-mile loop we could hear thunderstorms forming around us and elected to push through and get out as soon as possible. However, when the downpour started we were still over 3 miles from the trail head and I could see on my phone a long line of rain to come. We broke out the tarp in the wind and rain and had it setup in under 3 minutes. I purchased MSR Groundhog stakes to use with the tarp. It performed wonderfully in the awful conditions. It withstood the wind bursts easily and even quarter sized hail. I have very little experience with severe weather in the outdoors so having a shelter that was so easy to setup and provided us with protection was a huge comfort. We waited out the storm and were able to have it packed and back on the trail in just a couple of minutes. When we were back at our cabin we were able to set it up again in the sun and it dried very quickly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or more thankful that I'd had it along on the trail.

Beautiful print, high quality material and stitching. This rain fly stood up to some pretty gusty winds on its first trip out, and I only un-staked one corner because I tripped on it.I would recommend that if you plan to use it in any other terrain than standard dirt, to pick up some stakes that are best for your location. The stakes that come with the rain fly are on the shorter side.

Loved the ease of travel and set-up on this rainy weekend trip. ENO kept me dry. I had to tie on one tree with a different string because the tree was too large for the one that came with it, but other than that, perfection! My husband has the XL tarp which requires more space between trees, but the quality is great and we had a great weekend in spite of rain for the first 18 hours. Don't forget to pack 4 stakes.
