Would this be the same as first using rubbing compound, then polishing, and then swirl and scratches remover? all in one ?

That's all-in-one solution to both removing minor scratches and polishing. However, it is not as aggressive as separate systems. That's also waterbased and doesn't stain plastic surfaces.

IS this. a single step polish or do I need another finishing polish ?

This is a diminishing grit polish. As it is worked (by hand or machine) the particle size gets smaller, and it goes from cutting to polishing the paint, or whatever is being polished. It really depends on what level of gloss you want. This brought my car's paint to a mirror shine, which I finished with a carnauba wax for protection. You can read a dollar bill in the reflection of the paint. I believe Sonax makes even finer polishes for those who desire that. I also inadvertently found out that this will polish dulled plastic headlamps surprisingly well with a random orbit buffer.

No. Sonax Cut & Finish is a polish which focuses on enhancing paint gloss. It can be used as a 1-Step All-In-One Polish. The Rubbing Compound focuses on removing deeper paint Imperfections and usually requires a 2nd step or polish to enhance paint gloss (after the Rubbing Compound has removed the heavy paint Imperfections and left the paint finish dull).
