I picked up the Slow ’N Sear FireBaskets with Water Pan to tackle some longer, more complicated cooks on my charcoal grill, and it absolutely delivered. I recently used it to smoke a pork belly, and the results were fantastic—steady temperatures, efficient charcoal use, and great moisture retention thanks to the water pan. The setup made it much easier to maintain consistent heat without constantly fiddling with the fire, which let me focus on the cook instead of managing the grill. The heavy-duty stainless steel construction feels durable and built to last. If you're looking to expand beyond basic grilling and get into low-and-slow barbecue, I highly recommend this product. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of charcoal smoking and helped me turn out one of the best pork belly cooks I've made.

These work surprisingly well. I had used less expensive aluminum baskets, but those just don't last. These certainly are of much sturdier construction. For whatever reason, fuel is consumed more completely with these (perhaps a better chimney effect due to the greater height and more sturdy walls?) and I get more cook time with the same amount of fuel. Not only does the fuel seem to last longer, the temperatures seem to be more even throughout the cooking period. The design seems fine: a larger version of the original ones designed for the grill, which works out very well. This works out quite well for a variety of cooking methods. I don't use the water pan since I find that the local humidity is more than sufficient for my cooking purposes, but the water pan seems to be capacious and would be useful if one needed steam.

Excellent quality and construction. This basket works very well. I like that it is very heavily constructed of quality stainless steel. Very very good item that holds charcoal lump or briquettes in place. What a great item to utilize off set grilling (heat on one side of kettle type grill leaving the other half for more indirect grilling).

Excellent. Works and fits as intended. Good craftsmanship, quality materials. Very shiny, if your lady likes the shiny stuff, you will probably get a pass for ordering it. Both baskets together hold a similar amount of charcoal as an original design slow n sear, or the second rendition. A good choice.
